its a gimmick to use so that you drink more of it to cure the "thirst" the previous glass has left you with....before you realise it your bottle of robinsons, mi-wadi etc is gone and you're off to buy another one.Quote:

Bulmers' proper name is actually Magners and it is called Bulmers here because they also have a Bulmers Cider in the north & UK made by someone else and it is complete ****.They also have Bulmers in Australia and it is a bit closer to our Bulmers and is known as Bulmers Red Cider but you just can't beat the original which is made by Showerings i think.
can't get magners here - so it's bulmers. And it's pish no matter what name you give it anyway
Jeez working in a pub in the UK can confusing. People give me strange looks when someone asks what cider we have in the pub, i say Bulmers instead of Magners.... and when people ask for a packet of cheese and onion Walkers crisps, often find myself giving them the green packet. (Salt and Vinegar!) weird country....
Yeah tell me about it.I lived in Southgate (N14) for 8 months and worked in a pub called The Rising Sun and they drank some weird sh1t.I had the pleasure of seeing a guy getting stabbed to death outside Holloway tube station.Frightened the bejesus out of me.It's a great city if your young free and single though.
