Yah he's a Paul Kee-er, just like Gibson. No wonder the NI are miffed.

Bugsy and Paul Kee used to run a good programme, if I recall correctly. Not sure how it's doing now.
Shane Ferguson: "Two sides to every story"

My mistake, you are correct

Shane is on a well deserved break in the Pyrenees. There is poor mobile coverage in the area. It is all a simple misunderstanding.
I can only comment on what was published.
What has been published does not appear to be written by a vitriolic Northern Ireland fan - on the contrary, I would argue that some of it is bordering anti Northern Ireland vitriol.
Can you scan and post the article Swan?
What parts? I'll have to look at it again, my mind is still paralysed with fury from the original which was a serious load of bunkum.
Of the edited version I can remember there are still references to the 'complexities of nationality' that allow Irish people to play for Ireland (how complex) not to mention 'the Republic being a more attractive option for football and political reasons' as opposed to, you know, people just choosing to pay for their country. There's still far too much nationality denial in it for my liking.
We can at least agree to how rubbish it is.
We'll see if someone can scan it up for us - and debate it from there.
If you can tune in, Radio Ulster are broadcasting a documentary about the eligibility issue on Sunday between 1.30PM and 2PM, called "Does the Cap fit?"
I sense it's going to be full of inaccuracies too, judging by the trailer I heard this morning.
Contributors include Liam Coyle.
Cheers for the heads up. I think you're right; the hasty brief provides little promise:
Quote:
Michael McNamee investigates the controversial legal loophole by which Northern Ireland football players can switch to playing for the Republic.
Does Michael McNamee have a personal contact e-mail? I might send him off an e-mail but can't see an address anywhere.
To be fair,WSC aren't immune to publishing rubbish. The said article is probably on line (try http://www.wsc.co.uk ) somewhere, but who really cares at this stage as the no. of misguided or paranoid parrots are liable continue for a good few more years.
As for SF, apparantly he's fallen out with 'Agent Nige', so regardless of his heritage or other leanings he's hardly likely to bother whilst the latter's in charge. And does partly explain his accepting the U-21 call-up recently...
Morning lads. Here's a copy of the article. Apologies for poor quality, the scanner in my local library isn't working.
My first reaction on reading it was similar to NB's. Good to see we're all in agreement that it's tripe ;)

They didn't waste time getting to Gerry's goal in Spain.
Jim Shaw talking nonsense about the statutes already.
