Glad to hear he is not retiring, IMO he is in a league of players which is a few steps above the rest of anyone in the squad, his movement touch and work effort are next to none.
Not sure if this one has gone the rounds but it shows he has a sense of humour :)

Great bit of skill tonight by Keane , wish he had of scored. Great response from Pleat. Capello must wish he was English.
What did Pleat say? I turned the sound down to listen to the Brady interview that Tets posted.
Sorry, bad punctuation by me. Pleat said. "Capello must wish he was English"
His control for his shot in the 2nd half wasn't bad either. He didn't do his reputation in Holland any harm last night. He was the first guy they were over with to get his shirt after the game.
If Berbatov had controlled the ball like Robbie did last night the commentary team would have got a boner.
spurs game available on torrent sites now if anyone wants to edit out those clips
Robbie's effort is about 1.20 in.
Lovely hurlin'
Thanks for that strangeirish I was watching the Bolton match at the time, I didn't
realise that Spurs was being show too so I only caught a brief glimpse of it.
Funny thing is, is that when I first saw it I though he had gotten clean through
and left both defenders for dead but from the second angle from behind the goal
you can see there is a defender almost glued to Robbie, it's quite hard to see
that defender from the other angle. I think he was well justified in appealing for
a penalty but the web pictures are not very clear. He certainly showed great
skill in bringing the ball down and beating the defenders to get a shot in.
Would have been a cracking goal if it had gone in, probably his best ever.
he was awful lucky though he didnt control the ball at all the way he meant to. His strength was impressive though to hold the fella off. the through the legs bit was lucky too. As usual though he ruins it with the penalty claim and moaning at the ref!
Paul's from Roscommon, he was born negative.
That may be, but you don't hear him moaning about it.
ok robbie keane is great, lets forget about all those missed opportunities, like that one against the czechs in landsdowne etc....
at the end of the day there was a lot of luck in that piece of skill, thats all I am saying.
