To add to PP's obs, I studied emigration at Uni BA level in Britain at the Uni North London, which did have a half decent Irish Studies course (Major or minor but sadly not whole). Personally a bit more on the emigrants' experience should be given in Irish education but I can also appreciate that farting around with this subject at the expense of something more vocational could lead to the spectre of largescale emigration returning. Anyway, noone can deny that Ireland is short of books on the subject for those interested or in need of direction. ;)Quote:
