i hear that pike have quite a big squad again this year, its quite suprising how the manager can keep the whole squad happy with having a number like 22 players on the squad. im sure there are many people out there that dont want to be in his position.........:ball:
It hasnt got anything to do with it, it was just a general comment that i made. Just saying the new season will be quite an interesting one with all the new players coming in to the different teams so it will be hard to keep everyone happy, new players and old players alike.........
What does everyone else think of that?
i think you need to go to the premier thread
All of last season's squad have re-signed again this season (with the exception of Pa Barry) and we have added 3 or 4 new young faces (no household names really) and we have also added one or two experienced players, so all in all, not too bad.
There's a squad of about 18-20 decent players, plus we'll have the use of the B players this season too (which we hadn't got for most of last season).
What about yourselves???
Think most of last years lads have signed,i'm not aware of anyone leaving anyways, signed a couple of good young lads 2 that should make us stronger than last year, onlyplace we are short is in goals and hopefully that will be sorted for the start of the season.
It will depend on the start we get though, our first 3 games are tough but if we got through them i could see us having a good season,if not who knows!!
Is the patsy collopy on this weekend?

Its only a matter of time before players will leave, as there is no way any manager can keep 20-22 good players all happy.
I predict at least 3/4 of the new squad will look for pastures new before the end of the transfer window, but even at that Pike will still have a very strong squad of 18 or so quality players and IMO it will be between themselves and Fairview for this season's Premier league.
From what im hearing both Fairview and Pike have very big squads for the coming season and i have to agree with abbeyvale, ill be very surprised if they can keep all those lads happy..
well lads now that the new season is nearly upon us, how do we think the league will pan out now?
from the looks of it Mungret will be strong this year, any predictions?
think croom will push for one the two spots, bit weak at the back but fast and skillfull up front will score alot. balla will no doubt be up among the top. star will depending on the start they get will do well < a confidence team> mungret must be favourites but will they start like they did last year. (cost them the title) outside bets summervile/herbertstown
Summerville are you MAD!. I have seen them play against Caherdavin in a 2-2 draw. They are dreadfull if im to be honest. Lucky to get a draw against Caherdavin. They were awarded a penalty to make it 2-2 in the last 5 mins. Which should have never been a peno as the challenge happened outside of the box. And Caherdavin no great team!
