I sent the FAI an email last week asking when they would be taking applications for tickets for the match. I haven't heard anything back yet but when (if) I do I'll post it here. As far as I can remember though they normally put the application form on their website about 3 or 4 months before the game in question.Quote:

I am currently waiting for the German FA to confirm ticketing details. Forms will then be posted out. Can you forward your postal address in order to receive an application form.
Kind regards
Ticket Office
Appications wont be posted out for a couple of months and the Germans dont even have to talk to the FAI till 60 days before re tickets. You can be sure the Germans are more worried with the world cup at the moment. However you should write in or email asking for an application form to be sent out to you. While at it you might as well ask for forms for any other away games you intend going to. You can email the ticket office through the FAI web site.
Unless you are a Block Blooker or a 10 year ticket holder forget it!Quote:

Anyone know when ticket applications will open for this.
A German friend of mine says he doesnt think the DFB will sell their full batch for this and we might get more. He says that Stuttgart does not have as much support for the national team as places like Berlin and Hamburg, and so we may get more than the minimum away allocation.
Im trying to book a flight to stuttgart can anyone recommend a site to book flights??
I sourced my flight from London via Expedia.co.uk, but you can also check the main airlines' own sites.
ryanair,
germanwings.com
british airways
thanks lads Ill have a look at those sites.
after trawling through this thread it's convinced me I have to go. After having a TST for the world cup and missing out because of the Swiss I'm gonna go. Just back from Berlin and have to say the people are sound and the beer is bloody strong!
Tickets for the game might be tricky though but if you go that far you'll pay a good bit to see it.

Just checked the web site you can travel out on the wed and back on the monday for €204 return
cheers for that ill give that a go! :)
were with airfrance via CDG for about €220, lot more expensive now.
also those of you not already booked will pay a fuel surcharge of approx €16 each way due to increased fuel costs with most national carriers. was looking at alitalia and czech airlines too. each including a stopover was less than four hours
I'm going the same route, heading over on the Friday, back on the MondayQuote:

good to have you on board beavis:ball:
great info here. €44 in a taxi from the airport or a 40 minute train journey to my hotel (holiday inn) that costs €2.90. I know my choice

Trains s1 and s2 will bring you from the airport to the main station in the city centre (stuttgart Hauptbahnhof).
Train s1 will then bring you from the main central station to the Gottlieb Daimler stadion stop which as the name suggests is the ground.
Flying into Karsruhe Baden on friday evening. From what know suttgard is about 100km away, anyone else flyin in there aswell and have any ideas. Was thinkin bout car hire or the train from in baden itself, probably work out the same pricewise. Any suggestions?
Anybody staying in the Alex 30 Hostel in central Stuttgart? Seems alright.

Closing date for application form for ticket requests 26th May. from FAI..
http://www.fai.ie/index.php?option=c...136&Itemid=127
re: the application forms - has anyone actually received one? or even a confirmation of request?
The closing date for the receipt of requests for application forms is not for another couple of weeks. I doubt very much if they will be sending out any forms before that deadline. They don't acknowledge the receipt of applications but if you want to make sure give them a ring to see if they got your request.
Me & Beavis are going the same way. We'll just get a train to Stuttgart. It's cheap; somethin like €15 for the journey which takes a couple of hours I believe so perfect for cannage too.Quote:
