No update there, he’s 2 years left on his contract and was pictured at pre-season training last week. A tough second half to the season for him with injuries and admittedly he had already deservedly lost his place in the first choice starting 11 to McClelland when he picked up the patellar tendon injury away to Waterford in August but it I'd imagine he'll be sticking around next year by the looks of things
Pats have confirmed the departures of Sjoberg, McLaughlin and Kazeem - that’s 3 of last season’s full backs. With Ronan Boyce, Anto Breslin and Jay McClelland on the books for next season, there must be one more lined up to come in.
James Olayinka moving from Waterford to Derry. Not sure what to make of that transfer.
I'd guess Diallo might be away based it on though.
Seeing as McLaughlin is also leaving I'd have been happy to keep Axel as back-up to Boyce. Granted he largely wasn't great last year (few were), but injuries aside he is a good player. Upgradeable yes but a good player all the same and I can see Wateeford fans loving him.
Darren Robinson looked useful in the minimal opportunities he got but I'm otherwise pleased to see most of the outgoings thus far. Would be great to get even more out the door, however unlikely that may be.
The incomings will be interesting. Is Kenny having to trim
the squad next season , it’s yet to be revealed. I wonder will he have to use academy players to pad out the squad. Last season he had the luxury of seasoned back up players. Im surprised we have released both Sjoberg & McLaughlin.
Edwin Agbaje has signed for Drogheda. That’s a great signing, he looked very good for Sligo in the albeit small sample size of games they played since he signed at the end of August
Josh Honohan set to join Lincoln in January for a fee in the region of €500,000 plus add-ons.
Yeah was in his last year. Probably would've gotten a bit more if we'd sold earlier but he was worth keeping. Sign of the times that a few aren't happy with the fee. We've come a long way from sending lads on trial for nothing.
Hopefully he makes a mark now. Has the physicality and durability for it that others haven't.
Of tHo guys who have gone to the UK from Rovers Honohan has the best chance of making it as a regular Championship player and maybe even Prem if he gets a good run and a bit of luck.
An Enda stevens type of carear who ironically is coming the other way.
Bobby Burns signed for Dundalk
Hmm. Wouldn't be that sure. He's come a long way already in just two seasons.
Not saying he will play premier league but I don't think you can write him off completely. Id say he will end up as a Championship player personally, but if Matt Doherty can make the PL, there's hope for anyone.
Cork City signed Hans Mpongo from us for an undisclosed fee.
With a name like that he is probably deadly.
Very much their star player in the second half of last season, so won't have to adjust to the second tier, at any rate.
Hopefully hes better than the last striker to move from Harps to City. Tunde Owalabi has played for 6 teams in the 2 years since leaving us.
Nothing against FC United of Manchester personally, but never likely to be a proving ground for the LoI.
What was our ex man Sean Murray like last season El P - played a serious amount of games, good to see him injury free.
Decent player, just noticed earlier that he has left Cork C.
A limited enough player technically but will always give 100%. I would have liked to have seen him stay with us for another season but have a feeling he doesn't want to be playing left back. I don't think he's good enough to play elsewhere though, his distribution is poor. The amount of times his crosses went high and wide was very frustrating.
Miles better than Tunde, who had a lot of pace to get in behind defences and a decent strike rate. Mpongo is seriously strong, as well as quick, good feet, and a good finisher. How he ended up at Harps is a mystery in the first place. Some question marks over attitude, but definitely has the ability.
Knew he would be gone so didn't get too attached but he was excellent last season. Great finisher. Poor against Cork in the cup actually so unsure how he'd do at a higher level but 1st division he'll be excellent. Nice to see harps get some sort of money in anyway. Great bit of scouting
Tunde took 8 or 9 games to get off the mark with Harps and missed a few ones where if was almost more difficult to miss than score in that time, was great once he got his first though in fairness.
Mpongo scored on his debut, got 8 in 15 the the rest of the season and missed the last game or two. Can't remember any tap in from Hans either all his goal took a bit of technique to score
Was very impressed with Mpongo again Longford last season, looks to have a real instinctive nature about him in front of goals, something you definitely could say about Tunde. What's the situation with Maguire and Keating? Both set to stay? Mpongo might not get much of a look in unless they play him wide or something?
Killian Cantwell becomes Kerry's fifth post-season signing:

Saw a clip that James Clarke has signed for Derry City on a 3 year contract. Is this true?? If it is I don't think anyone saw it coming and it is some signing for Derry
Yep, Derry have announced it. Really surprised that he's decided to stay in the league to be honest. Was expecting that if he did it would be with Bohs or maybe head to Tallaght.
I thought he would have went to England or Scotland. A big loss to Bohs but his contact was up and they could or should have tried to keep him. It great he is staying in the league as he is a joy to watch and If Bohs are letting him go I wonder have they got a replacement of equal or better quality lined up.
I must admit, I did not see that move coming. Makes it even worse as he has gone to another club in the league and it is not even Rovers. A big loss for the club. Derry must be really splashing the cash.
