Are the AUL just completely abandoning social media? Not a peep 6 days out from start of season.
There is clear frustration from every club about the lack of communication or social media presence within the league. I wonder if there is something we could all do to try and get some youth and interest on the committee. There must be something all the AUL clubs could band together and do. There isn't a club out there that is going to say "no they are doing a great job"
Totally agree with you there Ger I said same thing last year bring people on to committee to do jobs that committee or not doing now I repeat what I said last week we probably get fixtures Thursday few Tue teams be only getting few days notice when their starting

That came in an email from the AUL earlier this summer
If that’s the case, I’m sure ye are correct. How did Castleview register all the players that came from Grattan last season and vice versa this season?
The rule is while the current season is in progress. The rule is also to prevent poaching by bigger teams when there are overlapping leagues. When a current season ends a player is free to register with any club they like. This is also easier now with self registration.
From FAI FAQ:
On FAl Connect, is a player free to sign for another club at the end of each season?
The club will need to change the player to status
TERMINATED if they are not staying with the club.
A club needs to confirm any player is staying when the CURRENT SEASON ENDS and the New Roster is posted and a NEW SEASON BEGINS.
In between this there is no current season and any player can sign with who they wish.
It is amazing how plain English is lost on the AUL and can’t even interpret the rule as stated.
Players on Amateur forms from the same club during the latter club's current season except with the consent of the Executive Committee of the club as confirmed in writing by the Secretary of the club from which the Players are being signed.

Club A signing a player from the latter club - Club B during its CURRENT IN PROGRESS season.
Inch is an example. All the players transferred from Youghal United in the MSL to the Cork AUL as Inch.
Grattan United end of season 23/24 the FAI and AUL approved approximately 16+ players from Grattan to Castleview.
Precedent is set and the rule is clear. If it goes all the way up it will delay the league and be interpreted correctly as this only applies during the latter clubs CURRENT season.

On this season based on the rules set down the league it appears that Grattan B are in breach of these rules especially when both clubs are in the same division
You would think the league would act on it especially having sent an email stating you can only sign 3 players from one club.
With regards to last season maybe Castleview B were able to work around it as Grattan B weren’t registered last season.
They weren’t registered because at the end of the current season of 23/24 Castleview poached all their players.Quote:

Desmond 100% with Ringmahon its on the connect, Ian O' Callaghan gone to Marys also on the connect and Stephen Mc Carthy gone to the cow also from the Hill side of things.
Completely agree Ball teams don’t even know is the Mossy or the Henry Healy kicking off season or do teams go straight into league crazy carry on Aul rush teams to pay fees and no one has clue what’s going out and on top of it now will this three player per club rule hold things up now to cause I reckon any teams caught um in this carry on will probably get free weekends till it’s all put to bed

This is absolutely crazy carry on like, the sooner young blood and someone that's understands football take over the aul committee the better, not 1 of them that's on it can even run a tap let alone a whole league for God's sake, season starting next week and every club is still in limbo, no wonder over 50 teams left the cork aul in the last 20 years scandalous carry on . Strong but true words fish I think this email clubs got about 3 player rule has Aul in limbo to cause it’s in black and white for everyone to see so they can’t paper over it I was talking to committee member of team from norrie land this morning’s he told me their management up in a heap cause they signed two players from a club and another two ask to join now but they’ve being told they can only sign 3 so they have have to pick one of the other two players haha some carry on look at village they signed more than Chelsea this window they’ve done great business if all theses players or from different clubs fair play

UCC as always are a special case and I wouldn’t begrudge them the leeway, they literally do not have a squad until September and go into the league with basically no preseason a lot of the time, they don’t gain an advantage from it at all, some of their players aren’t even living in the county outside of college.
The hill are gone so doesn’t apply to them, coachford started last season same time as everybody else and in fact came back earlier competitively due to the inter league cup, they still absolutely took the **** out of the league, so it makes no difference in their case
Considering UCC came last with just 2 points last year its hardly an advantage. College doesnt start for most until mid September.
Exactly, can’t understand how it’s perceived as special treatment when they’ve been a premier team for 2 seasons as long as I’m playing in/watching the league which is a long time, lads give out about number of teams declining, that would another team gone if they had to start in mid August like the rest considering they wouldn’t have a squad to even play games
