Any update on the UCC situation Goal-achio?
Ya it was a directive from Simon Harris to minimise student congregation we should be ok again next week please god
Glenthorn were very impressive today lads they must be kicking themselves for dropping 3 points at home. Really really good side with was an excellent bench and a couple more to come in. It could be their year for the aoh
Took in glenthorn and glen celtic today and covid or no covid ..some crowd up there. 5 nil to home side and apart from first 25 mins totally deserved. 2 penalties both clearcut in my oppinion had home side 2 up and they comfortably ran in 3 more.the evergreen fintan forde was outstanding for home side ..pa long tried hard for glen.
Was up the fairfield not much of a crowd there poor game richmond did well but had no threat was expecting way more of blarney st for the names on show. I know there is a massive shortage of refs but the gulf between refs reffing msl premier and aul premier too the lower divisions is frightening.
Have to say I taught Fintan Forde was exceptional myself. When Gary goes into that side they will be very strong. Jordan o Connor looks a right top class keeper too. Brilliant crowd, great buzz up there it was great to see that kind of atmosphere at a match again long time coming
Big covid meeting tonight lads are we heading for a lock down.coachford hit another 5 today.
Even if only to level 3 means no games so almost certain today will be last games for a while.
By god the colleges weren’t far off. The break is best lads it gets rid of the lingering will it or won’t it finish dilemma and this time of year a lot of games are called anyway. Get the cases down and everyone comes back knowing the season will end. Went to cathedral v Castleview myself today, talk about wind being an advantage..... 1 nil to cathedral at half time and although their keeper saved a peno they were totally dominant. Left 15 mins into second half and even though Castleview turned it around I heard it could have been more. Danny o Donoghue different gravy when on the ball definately should be playing at a higher level
I think Goal-achio is correct in his way of thinking shut it down for a while and hope that it will simmer down a bit.
And every team is in the same boat and drive on the remainder of the season from the restart.
Only pity is we didn’t get a few more weeks out of it as November to February are always the months with most games off.
All club gaa officially stopped lads.so doesnt bode well for our foreign sport
Think from tonight at 12 midnight,we go to level 3.so no football for a few weeks.
I was watching it as well .wind was unbelievable. Pretty much spot on with the report. Castleview missed a penalty in the first half as well. Cathederal seemed to have a good few different lads in the starting 11 compared to the Blackpool game a few weeks back .cathedral were on top most if the first half . Danny o d is very good on the ball and makes things happen . I stayed for the whole game and Castleview were on top most of the second half with the wind on there backs .
Will teams keep training? hard to keep fellas motivated the longer it goes with out games.
Goal-achio will ye keep training? how about you Dave Mc? level 3 you can train but non contact presume that means no small sided game.
Were gonna try and keep training anyway and see how long this lasts for.
Ya we had 28 eager beavers tonight after their week off for freshers. We will keep going, sure what else will we do
Spot on 12th man, 14 players and 1 coach at adult level. Large squads are to split into 2 pods
Going to be a rough few months for lads.
All the hard running out the window. Jogs, 5KM and 10KM runs may happen but can't replace the match fitness, pre season training and overall craic.
It could be a lot longer break than the 3 weeks the way things are going .
From what I’m hearing Cork is going to take an awful turn for the worst over the next week.
So we will be doing well to be back before Christmas
Lads my two pence worth
The government cant close the country for christmas
The government cant have the country turn on them
And most importantly the government cant continue to pay over half the country to stay at home.
We will be back in December
We just have to try our best to keep fellas interested and I think the game of ball might be what fellas need to get through the winter weeks. We will be fine
Quite a difficult time ahead.
What are people doing with bibs in training and after?
Agh sure he is back from the abyss.. steve behave now or you will find yourself out by the wall again😂😂😂😂😂you gotta just wash the bibs after training. I heard the management roundabout is in full swing again. Did anyone else hear anything
Oh Man, 1st post back and he's having a go at someone again. :shut:. Anyhow, what do ye think of Kennys start lads? imo he has at least got rid of the big hoof up the field and is trying to play. Both performances were promising but you'd still worry where the goals will come from.
I agree with you on Kenny great football being played to be fair but it's a results game I hope they stick with him and it dispelled all the experts saying the players wernt there ..they are but need a goal scorer .on the aul they haven't covered themselves in glory over the years some of us do have an opinion.
