Be up before 9PM hopefully.
Broadford Utd v St Michael's
Fixed for Ballingarry AFC Grounds, Limerick on Saturday 22nd April 2017, Kick-Off 5-00pm.
Taken from munsterfa website.
genuine question, is there any way in the desmond league you can appeal a straight red if you feel it is unjust?
No unfortunately not. The referees decision is final and to be fair there is some shocking decisions made by them.. I seen one today that influenced the result in a game and ref got it wrong. And another one with brdf v annacotty by a linesman that could have been influenced it by disallowing a genuine on side goal and calling it off side. Shocking really at that level.. what was the red card for..
basically i was a neutral at a game today and the ref *H sent off two players from the same team, 1st red card the fella who was sent off was firstly held in a head lock a few minutes earlier nothing done, then when he came onto the keeper, he was boxed and kicked by him and the fella who did nothing was sent off. 2nd red was when a player was running into the box with the ball, player kicked it goalkeeper (loss of control) and kept going and bundled into him and shown straight red. although the team with 9 won 1-0
A red card can be appealed to MFA but if you dont win your case and get it rescinded you forfeit the appeal fee.And very very few if any win them.So good luck with it if ye appeal to MFA.You have only certain length of time to do it and not sure of timeframe.Im sure the Sec of Desmond League would give that info. But it definetely can be done.No doubt.Ive known clubs in Limerick who have done it.
You'd never get it appealed to MFA before the League Cup game roborwarsfan - waste of money!
The league is in Rathkeale's hands after Abbeyfeale's draw with Rovers yesterday. They're seven points ahead with one game more played and even if Abbeyfeale were to win their game in hand and beat Rathkeale, I'm not sure if Rathkeale would drop points in their remaining games which are (in no particular order):
- Newcastle West AFC (H).
- Athea United (A).
- Carrig Celtic (H).
- Broadford United (H).
- Abbeyfeale United (A).
While Abbeyfeale have:
- Newcastle West AFC (A).
- Ballingarry (A).
- Killeaney (H).
- Athea United (H).
- Broadford United (A).
- Rathkeale (H).
Sound faceoff and langerdan I'm not affiliated with any club so don't have a clue of the fixture list?
Michael Brosnan player of the year for the LDFL. How can someone get player of the year when the league and desmond cup isn't even finished. Congrats to Michael though. A great talent. Is that Premier Division player of the year? If so does anyone know who got the otherain in the rest of the divisons

COACHING COURSE
Athea Utd will be hosting an FAI Kick Start 1 coaching course at The Vales on Saturday, April 29th 2017.
FAI Development Officer Barry McGann will be taking the course which will last the full Saturday.
Any clubs members / managers / players that are interested in doing this course they can book a place by going to www.fai.ie and booking a place online.
Should be a packed house in Ballingarry tomorrow evening. I think St Michaels will edge it but I hope I'm wrong.
2-1 to Michael's at half time. Joe McAuliffe gave Broadford an early lead and Broadford were on top for the first 10 minutes but Michael's have dominated since then.
Full time, 4-2 to St Michael's. They went 3-1 up early in second half but to Broadford's credit they fought their way back into the game and Barry Lynch made it 3-2. Michael's scored a fourth just before the final whistle.

Have been hearing an interesting topic last few days , apparently rovers and Ncw AFC will be amalgamated next season across the board? If this is true how will it leave the premier division. Will only 9 teams compete or will 3rd place in div.1 get promoted or will 9th in the premier get a reprieve
Robot with NCW currently looking like going down I dont think that would effect the Premier (You'll still have Granagh and Shannonside promoted) but it would effect Div 1 - I would imagine the easiest thing would be to give 9th in Div 1 a reprieve and only relegate one team in that division to make up the difference
As before, the title is completely in Rathkeale's hands. Broadford are their only threat now but even if they were to win their remaining six games Rathkeale would only need 8 points from their last twelve.
In regards to the whole Newcastle West amalgamation, I would imagine that AFC will be really pushing for it now to save their blushes from their inevitable relegation at this stage. To the best of my knowledge the team that finishes third in Division One will be promoted and currently it's a three way dance between Breska Rovers, Abbeyfeale United B and Glantine who are all level on points with a game remaining although Abbey cannot be promoted
Fair play to Feenagh who are taking it to the last day of the season in their relegation battle. If they can Breska (very possible) and Rathkeale B lose to Granagh (also very possible) it will go to a playoff.
