Eugh you sound like those awful tennis fans that defend Serena Williams for only playing well in the slams. Odd as it may seem a sport can have diverse reasons for people to follow it. Football support and competitions at club and national level differ substantially, ditto Gaelic Games, and indeed tennis (Davis Cup crowds can be immense). The Ryder Cup offers an element to golf that isn't there all that regularly, it is something different that is special in its own right.Quote:
