You can get return flights from Dublin to Rome (Fiumicino) (fly out on the 31st March, return on the 2nd April) with SwissAir.com for 153.73.
There's a stopover in Zurich for a few hours with both flights, but it's a good deal.
Hi guys,
I regularly go to home games but have not yet been on an away trip (bar going to the Nigeria friendly game at The Valley in 2004).
Am just wondering how are the tickets for away fans distributed?
Do you apply to the FAI for tickets or how does it work?
Cheers
Yep, apply to the FAI. Details will be on their website nearer the time.
book cheap flights into stansted on ryanair as soon as they become available.
I am planning on going to this game with a couple of mates,i know the venue is to be confirmed, just wondering what would be the best way to get tickets. The last two times i went to away games i went throgh abbey travel and paid a fortune.Any help would be brilliant, thanks.
Rome hasn't been confirmed though.
"when we get to Rome" in his post match interview, probably means sfa, but he did say it.IMO it can only be Rome,Milan Naples or Turin.Given that Trap is our manager, and that we will bring the biggest support, one of Italys 4 largest Stadia will surely host.Of the 4 mentioned,I would make Rome hot favourite.1st of January, is the latest they can inform FAI.
Rome flights are now on sale with Aer Lingus. Not worth the gamble though as they are over €400.
I hope it's not in Rome.....never been to Milan or Naples so I'm hoping the Italians decide to give it to one of those cities, despite the fact that they have Champions League final a weeks later.
The Scots could equally claim that. They were sent to Bari.
Nobody knows yet.
I tried to book Rome but wasn't paying €500 incl T&C. I got Milan for €150 instead. Milan would be perfect. Turin would also do nicely.
If it's Rome or worse still further south then it'll be back to the drawing board.
Turin. It Will NOT be Turin. Come on, Mate.
Palermo was great in 1990 however I don't want to go back there next April. It would be a nightmare trip.
So far in this campaign Italy have used Udine in the northeast and confirmed Lecce (Montenegro) in the southeast for games.
It is all guesswork at this stage.
Can't see them using a big city for Cyprus. *Jinx*
