if the players were illegal why should all the teams have to appeal. Typical crap.Quote:

Fairview should be deducted points rather than other teams getting them
Thats the way it works at senior level. This thing with LOI players coming back and also with the U 21 players has to be sorted out. The rules are there in black and white why is there appeals at all either they are right or wrong.
I blame the half arsed LDMC making it up as they go along as usual

Abbeyvale.....Very good point...They seem to have know the rules governing pitches(garryowen green).... just a guess, but maybe it was because the leagues did not overlap.... summer loi football...
Pike didn't object, even tho we knew the story and brendan hughes scored 2 against us in a 2-2 draw....I agree that none of the other teams should get the points
Fairview have being deducted 9 points not 6, just heard
there's always some controversy surrounding this league, granted it's fairview's own fault but surely someone in the ldmc could've pointed it out to them before a ball was ever kicked. anyway they should either take all the points off them or none at all, surely its not fair if only some of the teams benefit from this
Pike did object and have recieved the 3 points from the 2 - 2 draw............
how does this leave league tableQuote:

joesoap....On what the problem was, I heard that it had something to do with being registered in two leagues during the same season, I.E. el and ldmc. No transfer between leagues had been completed. Thats all that i heard...........
fai say that release form is all that is needed for ex-loi players to play junior football.....Quote:

Sounds like the LDMC are being their usual bigoted, ignorant, autocratic self, trying to stop fellas kicking a ball on a Sunday morning. Quite pathetic really.
The question is: Who are the LDMC answerable to? Surely the FAI Junior Council, ergo they should be made to comply with standard rules. But they always seem to have their own rules and agendas.
Wan kers!!

And whats the story with sunday morning games? why not play them on a sat evening, makes a whole lot of sense to me from a players and a clubs view.

Happy Zapper, might nor agree with all your posts but can't disagree with this one...Sat evening matches is an excellent idea.. Just look at the state of the jackman park setup to see how competent the ldmc are... 10-20 matches a year, mostly in the srping / summer time and the pitch is the pits.....How many oscar traynor matches(youth and junior) have had to be transferred in the last few year.i have heard some priceless excuses from ldmc members as to the problems with the pitch. look at all the money that has been spent on it and guess what, it is closed again.....Fai semi last year was in doubt over the state of the place.......You dont see the pike, boro or the Fairgreen in that state and they get matches nearly all year round(including ldmc matches)......
Once again the LDMC shows itself to be a laughing stock. Why was it not made clear to Fairview and everybody else what the procedure was??Why ,if and when they did something wrong, was it not pointed out to them by the League??Why did the League let them continue to play the players if they were illegal??Does the LDMC thrive on entrapment??By Law that can be construed as illegal in itself. Will the League committee members be held responsible for not informing Fairview??Will the governing body, the FAI,step in and insist sense prevails????
Why is the word "FOOTBALL" not included in the name of the Limerick football league??
Is this sport or a power struggle for little men??
Its oh so sad!!!
would i be right in saying that there are 7 games played by fairview in league so far......why is all this just being delt with now.......
are any other clubs with ex-loi players......
did they get different info to fairview about rules of signing loi players????
I heard that a club in 1A had put in an objection against Corbally. They have signed a few players from the u21 EL and supposedly the same mistakes were made with the paperwork.
Dont know if it has been resolved yet.
"a power struggle for little men" I think you are on the ball with that one.
Pay someone with a business brain to run the show - compete with the GAA and with Rugby in the city, there is alot of untapped potential gone to waste over the years and will continue to go once the same people stay in charge.
i think it's sad that teams beaten on the field have to go studying the rulebooks in order to get points,it would be a different story if these players were not allowed to play junior football period but the fact is that they'll be playing for the view, corbally or whoever for the rest of the season anyway
