Yes Tom Jones, its amazing what Just for Men and Viagra can do for a fella. :D
Highlights will destroy those damned greys, my mate dyed red  , then later had higlights, he now looks like a jock strap, err i Mean plonker, well more than usual, in fairness if you look beyond the "I'm a sailer from Crosshaven" look then his hair has recovered from a bout of Greyitis
Grey hairs are a real worry for some alright! :o
Are you Peadar, PM or $Leon$ or any of the other self conscious lads familiar with EMU Shampoo/Oil? If so where is it available? Supposed to help tackle grey hairs.
On a different note, I found out that Bed Head is readily available in Tony n Guy. How good is this hair product though does anybody know when compared to Vo5 Putty?
Never heard of it but I'l go grey gracefully, Dillo. ;)Quote:

I've accepted a long time ago that I'll go grey and the first signs are appearing. Haven't once looked at any products to combat greyness. Not even out of curiosity.
That said, I appreciate how others may feel differently on the subject and I don't see anything wrong with trying to prevent or conceal it.
Dillo, one thing is for sure, after seeing you in action last Thursday night, you have no need to worry about your appearance. That white shirt underneath the black blazer, hair spiked with putty, cracking blond girl on your arm for the night. Very impressed with your performance. I'd give you a rating of 9 out of 10 for your performance. I take 1 point away for being a little sloppy...you got a stain on your blazer. But its fair to say you're hitting full fitness for the time for the busy Christmas schedule.Quote:

Use Dax which does tend to darken the hair making it not look as grey but I don't really care either way.
Worry not lads, if you've got the looks it don't make a difference.
Thanks for the compliments PM but think you wearing those beer goggles of yours for the night! Anabels always proves a tough away trip from our home ground that is Tramco. Always guaranteed a hostile atmosphere and stiff competition. Thankfully we put up a good performance on the night and had a bit more luck been on our side, we might have nicked all three points! Despite this however, I think certain aspects of our play need readdressing including our awareness, tackling and finishing off our chances! Our next fixture is this coming thursday night (weather permitting) at home in Tramco. However we are minus the services of the PM which makes this an uphill task on the night. All we can do is keep it tight, remain focused and hope for some kind of result. Even LadyJane at this early stage acknoweldges this colossal loss that is the PM. Let's just hope he's available for the festive season. I know hee will be. Not only has the PM a cowslick like Mattie Holland, he boasts an outstanding record of games played.
Thanks Dillo. Im still out of action, but making slow progress. To be honest, dont know is it worth me risking an early return over the action-packed festive season. I dont want to end up out of action again. I do expect to be back by mid-January at the latest. Was just thinking the other night, it will probably take me a little time to rediscover the form I was in earlier in the season, culminating in one of my best ever performances in Paris.
I quite like the Mattie Holland comparison but I would like to think that I have more of an influence on proceedings. I think the New Year could bring good things for us as a team. I am a little concerned about JoeSemi. His recent form has been akin to what Clinton Morrison was going through. If he scores once, then maybe he will hit a good vein of form. The lad has unbelievable ability but has rarely been consistent.
As for you, I think you are being a bit modest when you say that Anabels has been a tough away venue in recent years. Your form in the Dublin 4 venue has been similar to Robbie Keane's form in the Amsterdam ArenA.
So with Mattie Holland, Robbie Keane and Clinton Morrison all available, all we will need is a tough player at the back with good leadership qualities. Someone like Jorge Costa or Fernando Couto.
I was just thinking, Don Vito can be compared to Roy Keane. He's still playing, but just not for us. He's been in exile for quite some time now. Rumour has it that our manager is trying to broker a deal with him to get him to return to play for us. He's one of the few genuine world-class players we have and still has a lot to offer the younger players like $Leon$.

However, I need to put the work in to reach full match fitness. Some people say I dont do meaningless friendly games and therefore people shouldnt expect too much from me in Blue and Blazers over the Christmas. Longford is too rough and ready for my liking. It never suited my style. On the other hand, if that place in Carrick on Shannon was still open I would be encouraged to make a trip there. Hear it takes in a great crowd from Boyle and the surrounding areas.
Perhaps my greatest worry for the festive season is whether Dillo has enough of a supply of putty to get him through.
Finally, happy Christmas and a merry New Year to all of you who subscribed to this fantastic thread.
That place in Carrick is still open PM. It just relocated from the Landmark Hotel to Cartown House a few miles further. Jenny Fee and another few Fermanagh wans made their way there on New Years Eve and by all accounts had a great night according to Don Vito. Kevin Egan was also there. :D
While Dillo didn't achieve maximum points during the festive season, he felt he put in some solid performances and judging by the number of wans both he and the PM turned down it's clear that substantial progress is being made. However one swallow never made a Summer and Dillo still has much to do on the training ground before he's ready to tackle the big guns in the Big Smoke.
Dillo is being very modest. Dillo's performances over the Xmas season were akin to that of Tottenham Hotspur, in more ways than one. He did particularly well in his home tie with an emerging Killoe. Since his return to the capital, Dillo has notched up maximum points away to Eniscorthy and a household name from Katmandu. Over the past few months, Dillo has grown into his role of leading from the front. Much will be expected of him in 2005.
As for myself, the PM, I added two mediocre goals to my tally over the festive period. I was struck down with a recurring injury this week but should be back for the January 28th round of fixtures. 2005 is certainly my year. I have to make up for my long exile from the game. The early part of the season has shown that I'm capable of striking up a good partnership with Dillo. I've recently been using a lighter pair of footwear which may be more suited to the more subtle Dublin scene.
Don Vito continues to lead our team with distinction. However, one fears that arguments over his contract extension could limit his first team appearances for the first half of the year.
The Green Hen has once again proved his worth over the Christmas. He's a natural talent with the sort of ability that just cannot be taught. Speaking of players with natural ability, this must certainly be the year that JoeSemi lives up to his huge potential. The crowd have recently been on his back and talk of a summer move has not been helping his performances. JoeSemi is like the Nicholas Anelka of our league. Last Friday night also saw the return to action of our prodigal son, $Leon$. He put in a solid display and still made work the next morning. $Leon$ deserves a lot of respect for his commitment to the cause. He's the only semi-professional player in our ranks and successfully balances work and play. Like JoeSemi, many felt that the sale of the Beaver from the club might have left $Leon$ unhappy with the way the club was being run. However, this has not been the case and credit must go to Don Vito for the way he marshalled the troops in the aftermath of Beaver's axe from the club.
On another note, it was great to be involved on the same scene as the likes of Martinho and Pauro 7 over the Xmas. Martinho put in solid performances on St. Stephen's night and on New Years eve and was unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet. New Year's eve proved fruitful for Pauro however. He scored a tap-in in Blazers. They all count and it could be argued that Pauro's spell in London has helped him become a real poacher in front of goal.
Here's wishing all players all of the best in 2005.
havin fierce trouble gettin me hands on putty.
have they stopped makin it?
is it banned?
where can it be got?
That's what we don't know $Leon$. JoeSemi tried three different Boots outlets in Liverpool but failed to get his hands on it (probably seen him coming :p ). Don Vito searched Bath high up and low down but his attempts were also to no avail.
The Jamaican PM is your best bet if you ask me. Just as Columbus discovered America in 1492 the PM discovered putty in 2004. If it becomes extinct which is looking increasingly likely he's sure to find an adequate replacement.
While putting the christmas decorations backin the loft, I managed to nearly brain myself sensesless on the loft hatch, gashing my head open. I've not dared use anything on my hair for days, as it stings.
I look dreadful. :( Happy New Year, coiffure fans.
thinkin of headin into town later to try and find some.
anyone willin to come in and help in the search?
