There were Pats and Derry fans in both east and west stands

My guess is that Pats had slightly more support, but close to 50/50 anyway. One thing I noticed was that Pats had more kids/family supporters than Derry, could the distance to travel be the reason for this ? Hope it leads to a few more regulars at Inchore for them. Again great credit to both sets of fans for the atmosphere they created, better that what 80k did at the All-Irelands this year which I was at. Ref had a very good game as well. Programme was rip-off (still bought one) and so was food and drink which I did not purchase but expensive for those with children.
Congratulations to Declan Devine and Derry City and commiserations to St Pats. Really wished on a St Pats win finally. Great second half and great advert for the league. I thought Richard Sadlier was spot on at half time saying if somebody is tuning in for the first time and they base the league on the first half showing then its unfair and untrue. The second shoed two sides who played with a lot less nerve of the occasion giving us the mini classic it provided.
The match programme for the cup final used to be top notch. why how bad has it got?
Would I be right in saying that after 90 minutes, the scores in the last 3 Cup Finals have been 0-0, 1-1 and yesterdays 2-2?
Definitely Landsowne. Wouldn't have been the same sense of occasion yesterday if it was in Tallaght. Players deserve to play in the national stadium on the Leagues big day too.
Absolutely gutted after yesterday, as you can imagine. Really thought when we snatched the last gasp equaliser that it was going to be our day (finally). Thought we played some good stuff, but our failing this year has not been turning dominance of possession into victories. Came back to haunt us again. Couldn't stay to watch the celebration, just too horrible. That's four losing cup finals I've supported Pats at. It's starting to get very boring now. Yet each time, we think it'll be different. I think it was Basil Fawlty who once said "It's not the despair, I can handle the despair, it's the hope i can't stand." :excruciating:

Great scenes in the stands too
Aviva clearly the best option, no question. From being at the game yesterday, seemed 50/50 Derry and Pats fans. But 16,000 attendance way down on previous two finals.
Aviva has to be the home for the final!
Even if we're not in it next year I'll still go. Just sorry I didn't go to the past two years.
Oh and if we are put ur money on 3-3 lol
Thats 16 goals in our last 3 cup finals not including the pen shootout V Bohs in the Buttimer final.
T'was up at it with a Derry City hint of a red scarf on.Felt gooood!!
Well done Derry.
Never take it out it of Landowne, that hole that is talla is as sterile as our Mary !
Press release from St. Pats re alleged abuse of players.http://www.extratime.ie/newsdesk/art...edia-comments/
Am I interpreting that right, it's abuse from Pats fans rather than us?
Horton, it's a tweet from a brainless 16yr old Pats lad using a very abusive rant and threats against a Pats player. Nothing to do with Derry.
