Apolgies sky blue, of course it's Clounreask, didn't see 'at home'!
Pics from Killeaney v St Itas in the first division this morning. Killeaney were 3-0 up when I left and had missed a penalty too. Sean Lynch was running the show in midfield for Killeaney.

What happened wit d Broadford game this mornin? Another case of the GAA's influence on the league?!
Did i hear right that Newcastle A lost to Newcastle Rovers this morning at home? If its true its first time they've lost in the league in over 20 games. League looks wide open at this stage!
ya we (ncw a) lost to newcastle rovers this morning..we were missing 4 players due to senior footballers playing county quater final...rovers deserved to win it..

Heard ye were all over them for first 20-25 minutes then they came into it. A good result for the league. Looks like ye'l have a few challengers this year for the title.
These are results and reports I have heard, the details might not be exact so forgive me if i am wrong:
Shannonside 1 Askeaton 1
Shannonside went ahead with about half an hour to go, Askeaton equalised close to full time.
Ballingarry 0 Rathkeale 0
Rathkeale were way better team, bombarded Ballingarry goal in the second half...Kenrick in goals for Ballingarry was outstanding, some of the saves he pulled off were seriously top drawer.
Glin 1 Abbeyfeale 1
Don't know any details from this match
Shannonside 1-1 Askeaton
Close game without any side creating too many chance, Askeaton were the better side in the opening 45 but the second half was a very close affair, draw was a fair result.
Two points to make outside of the game:
1. Borrigone is a total kip of a place to play ball, with all the money that has been available through the lotto and grants over the last ten years should there not be a certain standard maintained on pitches and some action taken against clubs for very poor facilitys?
2. Liam O Connor = some ape , this guy just loves to be centre of attention
Can anyone put up the Desmond's Oscar Traynor squad?
Observer:
Askeaton: Maurice Carrig
Abbeyfeale: John and Joe Kelliher, David Roache, Paul Doherty, Billy Quirke
Ballingarry : Dennis Kelly
Glin: Ed Horan, Tommy Culhane
Newcastle West: Thomas Geary, Anthony O'Donnell, Scott Hurley
Shannonside: Darren Kavanagh, Mike Behan, Eoin O'Connor, Lee O'Donnell
Rathkeale: Alan and Sean O'Shea, Peter O'Dea, Mike Lyons, Barry O'Riordan
Broadford: Gary Egan
This could change on availability
Thanks for that HairyLegs....a few surprise inclusions/omissions there.....
Does anyone know how Ray Lynch is playing with Regional, I heard he is talking of signing for Newcastle West or is that rubbish. Anybody know the Munster Junior Cup draw for Desmond League teams
draw is on page 6 of this thread
never heard anything about the other thing but I wouldn't think its true
Its meant to be true alright, I was talking to Eoin Barry who plays right back with Broadford, he was saying Ray was sick of going in early to Limerick on Sunday mornings but that he wouldnt sign with Broadford because he said things werent being done right there and that he had been asked to sign with Newcastle and Abbeyfeale. He also said that all the footballers are playing no more soccer with Broadford until after the football and that they are playing Ballincollig in a Senior football challenge on Sunday morning at 11 so the boys wouldnt be able to play against Newcastle. Its scandalous the way they can take three points off Abbey and now look like they will give Newcastle a soft victory
I'm always saying that about the GAA shur, Its number one this time of year for most clubs. I had this debate about desmond clubs in earlier posts, good one week, no players the next. No wonder lads head for town..........
He is a fine player, still playing very well, regional won't let him go that easy mind you, he is a big player for them
Ya Broadfords behaviour is disapointing to say the least, When I saw next Sundays fixtures I thought they would give Newcastle a good rattle. When at full strength I think themselves and Ballingarry are miles ahead of the rest of the pack but GAA kills them both at the start of the season. I heard they are missing 9 for Sunday between the football challenge and the 3 Lynch's playing hurling with Feenagh Sunday at 1. Abbeyfeale are the real losers having been defeated by them
Did anybody go to the challenge match between the Oscar Traynor team and Regional last night. If so who played well? I heard there was a poor turn out
