Feels like I'm at the vet waiting to hear if my dog needs to be put down or will live to see another year.

Eh, Try watching the Town for over 30 years!!
Actually that means I'm supporting them for longer than Cork City are in existance.
Yeah but we had some good times in the 80's and 90's. Whereas the noughties were just downright depressing!! Anyways any word on whether Delaney has to use his own money or the FAI's to buy Cork?
any official word coming out of cork yet?
If and thats a BIG if Cork are relegated and Bray promoted what will Bray do with the players they have signed? Surely the players they've signed aren't good enough to keep them in the Premier Division? Will they get the chance to sign the players from Cork if they want?
there should be enough players who still arent fixed up with teams yet.
although you cannot take whats up on the pfai site as gospel as it looks like it hasnt been updated in a month or so.

Registration window closes Monday tippex.
So much for the noon deadline!!!
The noon deadline does not mean they have to make a statement straight away. They could defer the statement until Monday and this might be the best option as it will give Coughlan no wriggle room.
Any idea what time the press conference is scheduled for? Not one bit surprising this is dragging.
Why delay til Monday? That makes no sense. Why not get it out in the open and let Bray concentrate on preparing for Premier Division football if the FAI do whats right?!!! But nothing surprises me with the FAI
They are back in court on Monday.
Didn't Cobh get kicked down to the A Championship last year for not having a tex cert in time for licences? How come people are just brushing by that Cork didn't have theirs in time this year and yet aren't being treated the same way?
You must have missed the twenty or thirty times it's been said already. This is going to drag on to Monday evening. Why announce a noon deadline and then ignore it?. They should make their minds up one way or another and let people know.
It is noon time Cork Style. They have their own time system down there and the sundial is broken.:D
There's been "positive developments" and "there could be news around 5" according to the Cork forum. Yawn...
Lets face it, there is no deadline
It would seem so.
Any Commercial deal never mind one as complicated as this will take an age to be agreed especially with all the new debts that appeared since tuesday. Obviously the consortium would prefer to trade under the name of CCFC rather than a whole new entity. The pressure is on TNB more than them because if they withdraw his creditors will hang him.
He wont be able to stick his head out for a long while if CCFC fold.
Something just struck me. If you are a director of a company which gets wound up, you're banned from directorships elsewhere for a period of some years (5? 10?). The FAI charge on TNB for bringing the game into disrepute, that made him give up directorship, right? Will he avoid such a ban if someone finally finds a silver bullet with Cork's name on it?
Maybe I wasn't being disingeuous after all, quintas are being the quinessential anti-Tom, and behave just like him - give him until a certain time them fudge it. This is shameful but all within loopholes.
just thinking.
The only way things will be resolved more or less is if the takeover goes ahead.
If it doesnt then TNB still owns Cork City.
If that is the case then they will not be wound up on Monday as they paid their outstanding tax liability (the revenue were the only ones on the winding up order).
It would then be up to the ILC (again on monday) to decide the clubs fate.
If it was me I would be doing my damnedest to make sure the gimp cannot get anything out of it apart from the company being wound up which should lead to him being banned from being a company director for a substantial period of time.
So were the revenue payed on Wednesday?
I still can't fathom what's in it for the investors, Gray in particular. At least O'Connell is owed €225,000 or whatever and wants to try and get it back somehow which he won't if he lets the company be wound up. Despite their insistence on Premier Division football, the chances are the FAI are at least going to whack on a points deduction or else there really will be uproar. They've feck all players and very little time to sign any decent ones so chances are they could be down in the First next year anyway, a year later and hundreds of thousands worse off than they would have been if they just went with the FORAS club.
And I'm guessing there wasn't much truth behind the reported 1m debt either
any word yet MICLS?
Deal done apparantly according to somebody on CCFC forum.
im getting angry again.
Im sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I'm looking forward to playing in the first (or premier) division, the game against Derry (or Dundalk). Its great to be able to approach the season with a clear direction to where we are going as club with a goal of promotion (or relegation) to the Premier (or First).
