Kevin O'Connor is supposed to be signing for Bray, ex-Wolves and brother of Danny.
Reading boss Brian McDermott was also in the Carlisle a few weeks ago, heard he was looking at our young center half Pierce Sweeney.
Harps signed 2 players back there the other day. Mickey Funston and Mark Scoltock signed back for the club after the Irish League finished up.
Dundalk interested in offering Barry Conlon a contract after the break, hope he has made a good bit of dosh in the UK, as he wont be coming for the money, and thats for certain.
Another transfer window, another Barry Conlon to Dundalk/Monaghan United (delete as appropriate) rumour
Marty is a smashing prospect, with the right coaching and game time he will end up in England, no doubt about that, I personally think he needs another season or two with us to help develop and there's no better man than Devo to get him a move to a UK club :p If he wants a quick buck then he moves to Rovers, if he wants to play at a higher level then he stays with Bray for a few seasons and plays week in week out.
We actually have a few young lads just as talented coming though, Sweeney is our leavinng cert center half :D and there's another kid who actually hasn't made his senior debut yet called Sean Hurley, brother of Shels Stephen. He could be the brightest talent to come out of Bray in years
Pat Sullivan signing until the end of the season for the Hoops.
Great news for Hoops fans if true.
Cork Tom told me last season Longford Town were signing Michael Owen through the Keith Gillespie link??? Sounds true to me especially since Owen's on a free, the man saw it coming!
Doesn't this happen every year?
It's likely that Dundalk and Pats have similar budgets, with Dundalk possibly having to spend a little more as they're outside Dublin. Buckley and McCaffrey would have been in for a lot of the players, and it is very possible that Dundalk offered higher wages to players A and B, while Pats offered higher wages to players X and Y.
