Its the club's own policy not to allow the B team in the Prem as far as i know. And to be honest I cant really blame them.
Too many problems with it i think

Thats what the bottom pitch was initially built for, to have the underage games and that.
That used to be a fine pitch about five years ago. Great facilities up there though in fairness
Would be some sticky situations if Balla A had to play Balla B for the title...
Anyway Pike 4- Corbally 0 ,As has been said above, close for the opening 30-35 minutes Pike got a goal before half time(John Boyle),then one directly after the restart, after that Corbally died of death towards the end with a screamer from Davy O'Grady.
Pat Sheehan was saying that Balla have no game next thursday night, which will make them 5 games behind Pike, and that Balla can get Pike's last game held up until they have to play their last game.. A joke if you ask me.

No problem at all. They play twice at the start of the season and it's finished with then. Fairview B and C in 1b about 5 years ago and Mungret B and C in 4a last year are examples. Why should the B team play 1a next year if they get promoted? Whats the point?
i see pike beat corbally tonight. anybody know how the other games went?star v aisling?granville v regional?did star get relegated or are they still hanging in there?
Aisling 5-4 Star,
Aisling were 1 up after 10mins, and Star equalized on 30mins, only for Aisling to go 2-1 up just before the break through a peno.
Star then levelled 5 mins into 2nd half and then went 3-2 and 4-2 up with 20mins to go, but unfortunatly then scored an OG to let Aisling back into the game at 3-4.
Aisling then had a free kick 30yards out only for the Star keeper to fumble into his own goals, to make it 4-4.
With Star pushing for a winner as a draw was no use, they left gaps at the back and Aisling punished us at the death to make it 5-4 final score.
If only we had played like we did tonight for the whole season, then things would have been better I'm sure,,,,,,,,,,,ah well, Div 1A here we come.

Yeah, I will be very interested to see what Whitestripe has to say about the game, and as it was said tonight in our dressing room after the game, it wasn't becasue we lost tonight that we got relegated, it was other poor results during the season..........
Yep, unfortunatly for us............but it was a formality after losing at home to Wembley & Granville and drawing at home to Summerville in the last few weeks, coz with all due respect to those teams, if you can only pick up 1pt from those 3 home games, you dont deserve to stay up.........best of luck to the other teams involved and may the best team/s stay up......
Final score Wembley 2-3 Fairview.
Wembley had an attempt cleared off the line and the follow up came off the underside of the cross bar. Shane Clarke narrowly missed another chance when Fairview keeper came off his line, Clarke just got there before him and lobbed the ball over him but hit the top of the crossbar and over. Good game :ball:
Again, I agree, fitness did tell in the end, and it wasn't the first time that happned us this season.
Shane Waters was our left winger yesterday evening, and yes he is a class act, when he turns up, he is a Star lad all his life, and was signed by Limerick 37 U-21's last season, and then re-signed with us when their season finished.
He has missed quite a few games this season, but whhen he plays and is in that type of form, he really is unstoppable.......he could have been the difference if he had played all our games this season......but now we'll never know.
I see Granville have appealed the objection they had with Corbally to the Munster council after it was thrown out by the LDMC.
or our non ability to kill off games. like last night at 4-2 up we brought on a winger for a centre midfielder. and went on the attack looking for more goals when you know yourself we should have brought on eddie wallace played 5 at the back and killed the game. we have when you look back made shambles of mistakes like this all year long..
Sorry to see Star get relegated and the Aisling lads took no joy in it but afterall it is a game and thats all it is. Hard to judge star over a season as I have only seen you play twice but if Star played like they did last night during the course of the season relegation would not have come into the equation. Some good players in the team but a lack of fitness cost you the game in the end?
How do you sum up Aisling's season Whitestripe?Looked like everything
was going pretty well a few weeks ago.Ye comprehensively beat the current FAI champs if i'm right in the MJC and were going well in the league. Was there any specific reason why ye have had a poor time of late?
We had some good results in that Competition this year, Boro 3-1, Carrick, 3-1, St Michaels 4-2 but failed to turn up to the final against Balla. (best of luck to them on Sunday)
I could bang on about injuries etc but every team has these problems, basically we need to get more consistancy into our performances. When we are playing to our potential I would fancy us against any team. We are improving every season with a relatively young side and I can see Aisling only getting stronger for next season with the injection of a few key players.
The set up is excellent and training is well attended and interesting always a good sign going forward so hopefully we will get ourselves into a position to start to challenge for the league.
I will be biased though
I would agree, he makes a huge difference, however we have enough talent in the squad that did not play that day
it would be hard to keep 3 top strikers happy for the season.

Granville v Fairview
Pike v Wembley
Summerville v Regional
crazy that pike have a game with the OT playing the semi final on Sunday.... some times I am surprised by the LDMC but sure this is just normal...
of all the teams that played in portland this year aisling were the best footballing side that came down, i thought your lads would push harder
for the league than ye did this year. ye were like a different team in
your own place later on in the season still a team with with great potential
he said 3 top strikers thats only 2,surely your not counting sheehan.................
Shane Walters is a very handy young player alright.
No interest again though. I think Shane is eligible for the Limerick U21's again this summer? If that even happens
