I'd say 2,700 was about correct- Rovers took and sold their full allocation bar approx 60 that were sold on the night. As for Pats poor turn out by them only filled their section of the main stand but loads of empty seats behind the goal and terraces
As for the match a real cracker that banished the doom and gloom of midweek- real passionate football played by decent honest footballers supported by loyal committed fans- Pats take note
Saw the goals on RTE news, looked a good atmosphere ok, really looking forward to next Friday night. We had a decent crowd in Tolka last night, but this is will nothing on the numbers planned for Richmond.
2,465 at Rovers V Derry V the wind.
How many did the wind bring?
Dundalk FC @DundalkFC58s
We have sold out of tickets for Friday’s match (nearly 1000). We are unsure if further tickets will be made available and will clarify soon
Roll on Friday night
3313 at Richmond Park according to Mark Cummins on Twitter.
632 at the RSC
There was a lot of empty seats noticeable on tv, so not a full-house as expected. Pats finding it hard to get the fans in despite playing a great brand of soccer.
It was never going to be a full house that would have been over 5,000. Probably about 3,600/3,700 there despite the 3,313 figure given.
Dundalk didn't bring the 1,200 they said they sold. About 1,000 of them there so not really sure where this complaint of not having more tickets is coming from.
Bought tickets for the Pats end and managed to nip through behind the TV gantry into the Dundalk end, there was room left in there over in the corner beside the shop/ burgers that smelled like ****e bar and the little terrace beside the corner flag at that end too. PartySaint, how many would you say the away end holds in Richmond? I'd say could have fit another 75/100 behind the goal and same again on the away terrace.
Good crowd there though on the whole, not watched it back on the telly yet to see how it came across but brought a mate whose never been to a loi game and he was quite impressed with the atmosphere and the standard.
