We have played clonmel down through the years they always have football teams sad if they convert to those tactics
[QUOTE=joeSoap;1334629]This is all a huge load of horse sh1t. Pike are too professional an outfit not to have every single law and by-law checked out and I'd put my house on there not being any sort of objection lodged anywhere. Seriously, this section of the forum is a laughing stock sometimes with the wild conjecture and mindless muck spreading displayed on it. Stick to the football lads.
I fancy a Pike v Fairview final now, and they'll have to sell tickets for that. It will be a bumper crowd. Regional, although a very good footballing side, seem to be a little light squad wise and with the exception of Aherne, Galvin and Butler don't seem to have players with the bottle for the big game. Pike will be well up for it after last Sundays comeback "" they seem to be professional ok , in lots of ways" !!!!!!!
Leave out the sarcism carrick hoop.let's just say they do things properly and what harm is that.if you're trying to insinuate something just come out and say it.
St Michaels have objected against Pike and Kilmallock have objected against Fairview.
Micks maintain Colm Carroll and Davey Ryan were not regraded properly. The Tipp lads reckon its black and white.
Kilmallock are claiming Paul Danagher assisted three clubs in the one season. Don't know about this?
can anybody from Kilmallock or Michaels confirm or deny their objections....
Does a Loan consitute one of three clubs.... He was signed limerick and was still a Limerick player when playing for Mervue.... you see it all the the time in the premiership etc a player is signed loaned out then gets signed by different club in January Transfer window.....so why is there different rules for Junior soccer? or am i just talking tripe ;)
Is there a date set for the final, does anybody know?
Lads i've been following soccer for a long time in Limerick and i feel sorry for clubs in general, the FAI are a disgraceful organisation and probably the word organisation is wrong because they simply can't organise. There never seems to be any defined laws, there is ambiguity in everything they do and they never come out with a statement of any kind to keep anybody up to date. I just hope they come out and clearly state what is going on and if objections are in where do they stand and when will it all be started.
its a pity for the four clubs left (possibly 6 of course) that the competition is beind dragged down to this level again and if the clubs were guilty i hope it get s sorted quickly
Trust me I find it very hard to feel sorry for Pike. They knew the rules and were very quick to point out the rules to get Town thrown out of the Munster. The rules were very unclear then and stil are. Yes the FAI are a joke but for me and most people having sympathy for Pike- forget it. Irony is a word that comes to mind. It’s not an ideal way to win or lose an FAI but as they told us in Pike back in 2007- rules are rules!!
Maybe the Limerick lads could help out with this . was P.Danagher released and then went to mervue or was he just loaned...if he was just loaned he should be okay but if he was released and registered with mervue....can of worms..then it would be 3 clubs in 12 months.
Not sure didn't Jamie O'Hara have an issue as he had played for Spurs, then was on loan & played for Portsmouth - he then was unavailable to any club looking to buy him in the January window - so he has stayed with Portsmouth??? I could be wrong on this.
By the way I am not commenting in relation to the Fairview situation as I don't know the details - just responding to BigFeet...
I agree with Town Fan ,but same rules are there ror all , and it is each clubs responsibility to ensure their clubs entries and panel are within these rules.
Any club in doubt on any issue need only contact FAI Hon .Sec for advise . Maybe ,just maybe, some clubs are above advice.
But he was available to be loaned out again, as Newcastle were interested in that option so it would have still been three clubs he would have played for in the year- Spurs, Portsmouth & Newcastle if went ahead. I am not sure of what the procedure is of the three club rule i thought it only apllies if a player signs for three different clubs but O'Hara has only signed for one club Spurs a loaned out to other club. The Danagher situation i think will be sticky if he had signed for Mervue or if he just was loaned out. If the latter i personally think the View are ok but if not the latter then there could be trouble.
It's all very sad really. The days of actually acknowledging that you were beaten by the better team are gone with all these objections being lodged after a team is knocked out.Even before the games last Sunday certain clubs were digging deep for any potential objections they could lodge if they were knocked out.Ironically though, this type of "dirty tricks behaviour" in Limerick anyway was started by a certain club up the Crossagalla direction when the infamous objection against Carew park a few years ago when Westport were awarded a replay against them which they won an went on to win the FAI that year.
