The Irish Sun: Dessie Byrne has signed for St Pat’s for a third spell.
Byrne, 26, has agreed a two-year contract with the Richmond Park outfit after being released by Bohemians.
St Pat’s boss John McDonnell said: “Dessie is an experienced player who can play in a few different positions and when he became available, we were interested.
“I worked with him before from when he was here but then we lost him to Bohs so it’s good to get him back.”
Byrne - who predominantly plays at left-back - has also had stints with Stockport, Wimbledon, Cambridge and Carlisle United.
In fairness to Dessie, when he was on song for Pats previously, there were few better.
I'm gutted he's left. He was one of, if not my favourite player. Certainly the best left back we had at the club, so surely Connor will have to look to replace him with a bit of quality.
Something tells me he'll go with Powell as his left back though, with Brennan as his replacement if he gets suspended / injured.
Phillip Sheppard has now signed for the Mons.
Nice to see sheppy back in the league. Robbie Clarke's a Pats fan too
Delighted with Pats signing Dessie again
United sign Jay O.Shea from Bray http://www.galwayunitedfc.ie/squad/u...es-o-shea.html

Longford Town
In: Vinny Perth (player/assistant manager)
Mons have signed Darragh Hanaphy from Kildare County and formerly of Longford Town and Shelbourne.
Never made it into our first team when he was here. Saw him playing against our under 21s last year too, didn't really catch the eye. He's only about 21 or so though and was in some Ireland underage squads so he may improve I suppose.
Jayo's signing back up on the Bohs site

Id say fenn could be going elsewhere to get more starts under his belt.
We have offloaded nine players and are in the process of releasing at least two more. We have signed three players that would walk into any first team in the league that will not cost any more than the combined cost of the released players. Best bit of closed season business I can remember from Bohs. Please ignore the last comment if we sign O`Callaghan:eek:
True, although I always thought he would improve if he got more games under his belt but then again if there is one thing John Ryan knows, it's whether a striker is good enough and obviously he didn't think Darragh was up for it. Still young though but when a 19 year old is moving to his fourth league club it's not good!
Monaghan United have signed another of your former players in the form of Stephen McCrossan.
Sorry I have to laugh at that one, how could anyone sign Mickey Comerford? He only played for City the last few years because he was going out Jimmy Rhatigan's daughter & was only in the starting line up in the really desperate years. I think the squad is looking better for next season already!
alot of kilkenny players are leaving, must have very few left, any news on there manager
There'll be no manager I'd say, because there'll probably be no Kilkenny City in Eircom League
