Still along way to go yet..Killmallock look to be in a fantastic position for promotion.next 3-4 games should show the league taking a bit of shape.Mungret still have to play Caherdavin twice in their final 11 games which could be important.who else do caherdavin have to play in the first round of matches?
Kilmallock i feel are easily the best side when they are allowed play football and are my favouites to go up. I think its between Mungret and Hill Celtic for second. Feel these two are the next best in the league but then again that doesnt mean they will necessarily go up. At the other end Caherdavin look to be gone already and with the other sides at that end of the table getting results of late it could be anyone to join them come the end of the season.

The above scenario will be played out in a lot of football area's in the comming years.i am not trying to give a sociology lesson. if you please, listen to my descriptioin of the facts facing a lot of the older clubs in the CITY.Clubs like Caherdavin, hyde, granville and to a lesser extent boro , geraldines are and will, all suffer from the changing demographics of their catchment areas over the next few years.I grew up in janesboro and we had at least 1 team in every schoolboy grade, mostly local with a few from kennedy and glasgow park. as these player matured to adulthood most either gave up football or moved away to new areas to start thier own families. just going on the janesboro situation there are very few young families in the area.Quote:

Today's local paper also has Cappamore Played 12 / Pts 16, but we have Played 13 / Pts 19 above (anyone confirm??)
i heard a rumour recently that according to a certain ldmc committee member that if balla b do win the league or finish second they will get promoted.
I know this has been discussed before and I myself do not believe it but as it came from a high ranking member od the ldmc I said i'd ask has anyone heard anything about it?
On another note who are peoples favourites to be in the top 2 places at the end of the season?
Judging by the weather I don't think there will be 2 many games played until the new year!!!
Have seen all the top teams in the division now and think it will be Kilmallock and Balla as top 2. Haven't heard anything on the rumour that Balla could go up.
Whatever about the quality of the league it's exciting this year at the top and bottom. Anyone can beat anyone and all teams still have something to play for.
Any predictions on relegation?
Caherdavin definately to go down along with shannon i think...Think kilmallock will win the league with balla in second...Doubt they can go up though..They can appeal it to the council but i think they had this one out before

Can anyone confirm for definite exactly what happnes if Balla "B" finish in the top two spots in Division 1A this season.??
(Providing Balla "B" cant get promoted, which I dont think they can).
Does the team finishing 3rd in Division 1A automatically get promoted?

Does the team finishing 3rd in Division 1A go into a play off game versus the team that finished 2nd last in the Prem League?

I remember that. Fairview had 2 teams in a league and Corballys B and C teams were in the same league for a while also.
But I also remember a few years back, a good few years, when Geraldines were in the premier and their B team won 1A and they were refused promotion on the basis that you could only have 1 team per league.

Last time I checked the league table Herbertstown were doing better than more than half the teams in 1A. ;)

you would definitely expect them to be stronger than the 3rd best team in 1A, when teams get relegated it is automatically assumed that the teams that replace them in the league are better than themQuote:

Well is there any way of clearing up this Balla B fiasco.its a bit of a balls goin through the season with this in doubt..although there's still alot of football to play,this must be cleared up sooner rather than later!
I think a vote should be taken at the start of each season between all Prem teams and all Div 1A teams, to decide if a "B Team" do finish in the top two of Div 1A should get promoted or not.Quote:
