Salt n Pepper more than likely Derek?
Great to see fixtures back. Anyone know why Village Donoghmore View and Coachford will have 2 league games played while Hill play no game then?? UCC are the same but in fairness I have no issue with them getting grace for a few weeks. It's not like they are walking leagues/Cups every season so you would rather see them stay involved in the AUL for the sake of giving them a few weeks.
No names I’ll get banned haha
Deligthed to see Coachford playing early. Biggest critic of their late starts through the years. I even think it's very unfair on them and all Premier teams that Watergrasshill are not playing early. Same old bull. Salt n Pepper can't blame TF this year. Shandon had no level playing field with Watergrasshill last season.
Some fine players added into the league this year in Luke Casey, Dean O'Connell and Jamie Murphy. Tough start for Village too with Castleview and Coachford. Meanwhile Watergrasshill watch on before they play when they are at their strongest.
Top 2 leagues will be very interesting. I wonder can a change of scene give JP one more lash of goals at Knocka.
Typical watergrasshill be looked after not with the gaa.
Surprised coachford are playing the start.
Jo to knocka maybe one last push.
Adam lee wasn’t on the sheet yet for grattan is he moving?
Also great news for castleview with the pitches.
Jp is retired Rossum being bold.
Based off next Wednesday night’s opening fixtures my predictions would be grattan to win by 3 or 4 goals whereas if both village and castleview are missing nobody due to it being midweek Im going a 1-1 draw or 2-1 win for castleview!
Good to see village putting in the effort with the new dressing room efforts put up on facebook!
Also interesting game tonight gattan vs jaybazz in that inter league club competition, should be a stroll for grats but never say never
Wouldn’t be too confident with Gratts just yet havnt seen much of dem and haven’t heard of many signings. Be interesting to see what they do tonight. I’ll start off the predictions for top two leagues
Premier
1.coachford
2. Gratts
3. Village
4. Watergrasshill
5. Castleview
6.Donoughmore
7. UCC
8. Springfield
Premier A
1.knocka
2. Shandon
3. Waterloo
4. Wanderers
5.strand
6. Corkbeg
7. Glenthorn
Looking forward to games next Wednesday. Should be two good games in premier to kick us off
Anyone make the Grattan v J'Bazz game
Grattan 6 nil up at ht
Are they not one of the strongest shipping league teams?
The top team now
They are but came up against one of Aul best massive differences in class.
Some score, anyone new for Gratts?
Grattan will always sign great talent , it's fitting them all on the 11 is the thing. Look Saturdays game will be a good one as always. I hope there ain't a Abadabadooford game to spoil it again.
4 nil after 15 mins ,,,,I'd say Grattan gave J,Bazz a short back and sides an a number 8 on the front,,,,boom boom
Business league will never be up to standard of aul it will probably show tomorrow night in killmore road as swyft take on Knocknaheeny Celtic
Feel Doolans would have given both Gratts and coachford a game on their day, but they were the exception, not the rule, Shipping league is a retirement league for lads whose legs are gone
Strange that for all the wonderful coverage the CBL does there is no mention of this result? Surely the players from Jay Bazz will want to look back on social media in years to come to remember this result ?
Watched view v shandon last night, stroll in the park for the view they are looking strong at the moment finished up about 8/9-2 and blown 20mins early. great team they have this year i dont know how they will keep the lads happy.
Maybe Grattan had better scizzors,,,,,,,
Not sure if the night after a pixx up in a brewery is the best way to have Coachford an Grattan play .
Seems unfair to do that to either team.
Coachford will want to enjoy what they have acheived and Grattan are Premier Champions and Bully is a deserved golden boot winner.
Both deserve to just enjoy a few pints together . Hope it don't ruin a good game Saturday.
Agree big time. Both teams should have a good night and not be thinking about a game the next day.
Youngfella Greaney playing left back for Knocka is some talent seen him play last 3 games he’s still in school I got told
Excellent young players
Any predictions for division 1 and division 2 lads?? Two tight leagues now!
That was a massive scalp for grattan. Jay bazz didn’t even get a chance to fade away, they were never in the game. Grattan even with a trimmed down squad much too strong. Short back to the CBL for Jay Bazz.
Sorry!
Grangevale gone in shipping league division 1.
The equivalent of AUL division 2 at best probably lower.
This tells me they left for glory hunting as they weren’t prepared to reset in the AUL.
They preferred a few photos for social media rather than competing with the best here.
A shame really.
What’s the strength level of the west cork league? Andy Sulls beaten 3-2 by Drinagh they’re by far the best in the CBL at the moment with Doolans gone but still couldn’t get past Drinagh. I always felt it’s between the AUL and MSL junior for top league in cork junior football with the AUL being stronger overall bar a few exceptions here and there
Lot of giving out about the business league when I for one would love to have them running the AUL. What ever about standard and AUL are miles ahead but the business league is a far better run set up . The AUL is falling apart and the BL is going from strength to strength.
I would say that the top teams in the West Cork league would be about the level of a good premier A side. The west cork league has some very good players its just the pool of players to select from is much smaller and spread out. On saying that Clonakilty , Drinagh and Dunmanway would be capable of beating a premier AUL side on their day
Smell of salt n peppa
Drinagh are only okay same with Clonakilty and Dunmanway. Very much doubt they would beat any one in the AUL Premier.
I do recall Cow beating 2/3 clubs above in cups in recent years. Just goes to show they carried the league on their back. CBL posts more with pics and social media AUL should try the same. AUL standard miles ahead tho.. Who ever wins on Saturday should stroll the final, but I've been wrong once before.
I’d agree with Kevin what do the shipping league do that makes them so good?
