What is the point in Bray Wanderers offering 32 year old Alan Byrne a 2 year contract?
Mick Cooke obviously think he's going to do a Stephen Kenny next season with this bray squad!!
I think we had good players last season and I would like to see them being the priority before signing other clubs players- Douglas, Barker, McNally, Sullivan, McGlynn, Hanlon, McEvoy
Seems we look set to lose other good players - Cassidy and Giggles
Having said that Daly is a good signing
Latest rumour on the Pats forum is Kurtis Byrne coming to us
Kurtis worked well with Hoban last year, but had very little impact this year. He didn't actually score a league goal in 14 sub appearances, bu that was usually for 10 minutes or less. He'll be fondly remembered for 2013 and 2014 and for a goal at Hajduk Split.
There is absolutely no point. No benefit. I cannot get my head around it. As you say he is 32, he is a bad player. No benefit to bray of offering a 2 year deal, even if he has a great season no one bar the bottom 4 clubs will want to sign him anyway. And if bray all of a sudden "have money" then surely after consolidating in 2016 they would look to sign good players and progress and not have to keep the likes of Alan Byrne and Mick Daly etc. Really cant understand it!! The risks really do outweigh the any benefits (of which I cant think of one, bar preventing them having to fight with say a Longford for his signature next year, so what). Imagine he gets career ending injury in pre season, Bray have to pay circa 40k for zero benefit. and yes he is on good money as well !!
and of course the "Licensing" process won't have any issue with it at all no doubt
Mark Timlin heading to Bohs or Pats, Patrick McEleney done well at peterborough and could be heading there, Stephen Dooley heading to Cork
Pats interested in Sam Oji.
Ryan McBride signs new deal with Derry City
I think Kurtis Byrne would do a decent job for either Pats or Bohs. I can't see him getting a contract for 2016 with Dundalk, he probably needs to move anyway to get back to playing.
Bohs fans, what happened to Marc Griffin, he hasn't featured in a good while, was he injured or just not considered? Always thought he could have had a decent career and he had potential, but his attitude was wrong.
UCD to sign striker Georgie Kelly from Derry. He's heading off to college there.
Kurtis Byrne to Rovers, you heard it here first
Says who
I've heard it elsewhere so that's wrong for a start.
It's wrong that KeepersBall said we heard it from him first?
Kurtis in a Fenlon team? Doesn't seem like a natural fit to me. He likes to wander all over the pitch and can leave huge gaps. Some talent hough.
Shane Duggan in talks with Pats
Makes sense from a footballing perspective since there's been strong rumours about Bolger going to Motherwell since the middle of the season
Bolger to City confirmed.

Pats fans, any thoughts?
Best player in the league when he wants to be. Brilliant defensively (reads the game better than anyone) and a great passing range. Never tires.
Also pretty moody and will average a booking every 2 games. Has the odd game where he just doesn't seem to be at it at all. In others he'll be head and shoulders above the rest of the team
So, on the whole are you disappointed to be losing him?
Brilliant player for us, very good signing for Cork, we've known for the last few months he's been leaving so a sad end to a great time with us.
He is the perfect midfielder for the way Cork play as well, he'll just clean up everything in front of your defence leaving the other 2 in the middle with him to bomb on and try win the second ball off those long punts that you like to play
Cork have significantly strengthened their challenge for 2016 by signing Greg Bolger
John O'Flynn, Liam Kearney, Kevin O'Brien and Billy Dennehy have officially left the club and will not be there next season.

We'll miss Billys goals, but not his attitude.
Anyone know what the story is with Miller or Healy. Will they still be at Cork next season?
