There is absolutely no point. No benefit. I cannot get my head around it. As you say he is 32, he is a bad player. No benefit to bray of offering a 2 year deal, even if he has a great season no one bar the bottom 4 clubs will want to sign him anyway. And if bray all of a sudden "have money" then surely after consolidating in 2016 they would look to sign good players and progress and not have to keep the likes of Alan Byrne and Mick Daly etc. Really cant understand it!! The risks really do outweigh the any benefits (of which I cant think of one, bar preventing them having to fight with say a Longford for his signature next year, so what). Imagine he gets career ending injury in pre season, Bray have to pay circa 40k for zero benefit. and yes he is on good money as well !!Quote:

I think Kurtis Byrne would do a decent job for either Pats or Bohs. I can't see him getting a contract for 2016 with Dundalk, he probably needs to move anyway to get back to playing.
Bohs fans, what happened to Marc Griffin, he hasn't featured in a good while, was he injured or just not considered? Always thought he could have had a decent career and he had potential, but his attitude was wrong.
Griffin done either his knee or ankle ligaments early into the season. Thats why he never featured.Quote:

Best player in the league when he wants to be. Brilliant defensively (reads the game better than anyone) and a great passing range. Never tires.
Also pretty moody and will average a booking every 2 games. Has the odd game where he just doesn't seem to be at it at all. In others he'll be head and shoulders above the rest of the team
So, on the whole are you disappointed to be losing him?
