Any chance of an update of the average and total attendances then?
Friday's crowd, what ever you think of my maths, must have had a major improvement on the average. Being double the previous best attendance at least.
You can leave it till Monday cause there are no games due tomorrow .
Is this supposed to be their average?Quote:

There was no more than 350 people inside the ground at any one time! :o
Figures in brackets are last season's averages as per the note at the top of the post! ;) Have patience for the updates - haven't gotten most of the attendances from the weekend yet!!Quote:

Waterford - the attendances I have for them and the (alleged!) source are as follows -
Bohs 3400 (Chorus sport)
Cork 2700
Drogheda 1700 (official)
Longford 2700 (Irish Examiner)
Shels 4000 (club media officer)
That's what I have anyway; obviously if 2700 was their highest, it changes things fairly significantly... Obviously try and keep attendances as conservative as possible to avoid overstating, but there's always one...!
700 at Sligo-Dundalk.
About 5000 at the City - Pats game!
So about 4000, then, given your propensity for overestimating? ;)
thats an under estimate i'd say.....maybe pats fans can have their say?Quote:

Yeah but they still had less than we've had at any of our games in Dublin (apart form the Dub City game).... that says a lot about how good our away support is in comparison to all the other clubs.Quote:

btw, I'd put the overall attendance at 4500-5000.
Yeah the Shed was a lot less packed than usual but I thought there was a good few in the St. Annes end and that the DF and Derrynane were fairly full. I'd still say at least 4500 but that's just a total estimate.Quote:

As for the other night, Id say 4000-4500. It was strange, becasue at 7.40 there was about 1750 max.

About 900 at Pats v Longford tonight
Waterford United v Shamrock Rovers 1500 approx.
I'd say between 1200 and 1500 at Tolka.
1,600 at Derry V Dublin City
I'd go with the lower & that probably generous but i think its always hard to judge Tolka crowds cos of all the empty seats.Quote:

These are actually an increase on last years gates mainly as we have sold over 1,000 adult and Junior season tickets. The cash take at our gates is as high if not higher than last year.
The 1st Division is a wasteland the crowd in Kilkenny last saturday was no more than 150 which was probably double the crowd at last years fixture and almost half were from Galway.
The pitch was immaculate in Buckley Park and the weather was scorching yet no atmosphere. Its marketing the league needs and good publicity both with the sham the FAI have made of the UEFA Licencing the league will struggle to attract new investors or fans.
Jayz - there's efficiency for you! Thanks to everone for that!

Longford vs Waterford 1000 people at game!
Interesting to see the clubs that raised their prices to €15 have lower (20-30%) average this year.
50% price rise and 25% crowd drop is good business though... :(Quote:

Fairly low attendance at Harps-Kilkenny - about 650, going by previous games, though that's a complete guesstimate with no groundings other than previous figures.
800 at Dundalk-Limerick.
About 1800 for Waterford v Pats last night. I'm basing that on us filling the away block (400), home fans in the other three (1200) plus another 200 around the perimeter.
2,000 at Rovers v. Bohs!
Euro 2004 problems kicking in already maybe?
I think the rubbish printed in the hearld about the fixture has put people off, which is sad to see.
700 at Harps v kilkenny  Something isn't working, hard to know what?
600-700 at Dublin City-Drogheda?
(My estimate, which may be wrong, but then most people's estimates of our games are wrong and agenda-driven, such as the nonsense about 164 people at the Waterford game.)
902 Galway United -v- Sligo cracking game 4 great Goals Barry Moran 2nd a contender for best ever at the venue. If we win against limerick we should get 1,500 - 2,000 for the UCD Game.
Drogs vs Dublin city at united park was about 600 similar numbers last friday in tolka. the drogs waterford game was i wud guess about 1,200 but not sure
Bray Vs. Cobh had about 1000 at it
So you're matching Dublin City for attendances up there now?! :D ;)Quote:

well who wants to see dublin city
will get you some idea of the figures for tonights match vs shels as soon as possible but wud guess 1,400-1,600
Sligo v Harps had 650 at it with about half of that Harps supporters
Who wants to see Dublin City ? Indeed !
Call me naive but I thought it was the idea to go to games to support YOUR team and hopefully see them win the game and gain the 3 points or qualify for the next round of the Cup as the case may be.
The opposition, their appeal or indeed , lack of same should be very much a secondary consideration.
but forgive me I have only been supporting my team for more than 20 years so what would I know about it?
I think i heard someone say Cork City v Derry City was 3000.
