pike b 3 star 2
good result for pike who were missin a few tonght but sill had 16 players there, pike could have won by 3 or four more goals hitting the bar and a few close range saves by the keeper. good game for both sides looking forward to the start of the season
caherconlish or mungret for me to win it and Balla B,fairview B for the drop,
Mungret away in the first game. Nice handy one to start off!
who is managing mungret ?is it true they have lost a few players to premier clubs.
Geraldines are strong lads
Lish' away, Huns' away, Charleville home.. The old LDMC draw drum could have been kinder to us, however we gotta play em all.. :)
Correct me if im wrong but i dont think any of the dines view granville pike derbies are fixed for the opening tues or thurs fixtures yet the shannon derby is on the 2nd thurs nite...lot of thought went in to them fixtures allright TYPICAL ldmc
Don't understand the fascination with Caherconlish???!!! everyone tipping them? they only came up from 1b and from what i saw of them last year they are a handy side but I really don't think they are promotion candidates from 1A. I think it's between Mungret, Shannon Town, Park, Granville and Charleville (hopefully)
Mungret from what I have heard are struggling. They have lost a few players. I'd definitely have Caherconlish up there purely for the fact they have been getting promoted for about 4 or 5 years on the trot now have they not? A lot of teams have a chance at the moment and there is probably only about 2 or 3 that won't have a chance.
The lodge I think covers that.
it must be the only lodge in Ireland with a statue of Mary outside it's door.. and coming from the club that wears orange as their club colour ;)
Did you notice that the link on limerick soccer ( http://www.limericksoccer.com/links.htm ) to the Granville team website is actually a link to a team in England? Just noticed that there.
Cant see Charleville getting promoted,ye lost too many games in 1a last season and have had some poor results in pre-season friendlies,Mungret lost 4or5 of there best players so count them out aswell and Shannon town are harmless
Its between Granville and Geraldines for me,i dont know too much about the lish but they might be up there come the end of the season, best of luck to all teams
I think deadly man might have taken a deadly buzz... How can you say a team are harmless when they played in the premier division last year.. And have had a decent preseason
I presume that's what he's going on,that they were harmless last year, geraldines will be in the shake up this year, they have a nice panel of players,

So you are basing your opinion on pre-season and on last year? You obviously haven't a clue what you're on about. You can have a rubbish pre-season and still do well in proper season, and you can hockey teams pre-season and have a rubbish season. Pre-season is about getting fit, nothing else. And if you are basing your opinion on how a team did last season then that's even more idiotic because nearly every club gets new players so that argument makes no sense!
