sure there would be no logic in doing that, the Boro B would be beating teams in 2a by big scores every week, no team would want that.

Was only a few years ago Boro B where down in 2A. They won that division but certainly weren't wining every week by big scores. They hadn't got the players this year so thats a reason they are gone. If they are down two divisions they might not attract players as good as they could have in 1A so I don't think they would rack up big scores. The difference in quality of the better teams in divisions isn't that big between 1A to 2A.
boro b had upwards of 25 players signed...for what ever reasons they did not get it together this year.... i imagine it will be 1 b next season but you never know what the wise men in jackmann will decide.
thats not the reason they are gone, Boro B had a full squad of players, they are gone because they were helping out the A team who were struggling, I hope the boro B bounce back it would be a shame to not have the Boro in both premier and D1A
dont agree with you on that
I didn't mean it as in they didn't have enough players signed but i meant it as in players weren't available for games (helping out the A team) so they gave walkovers and got some heavy beatings.
I see no reason why the top teams in 1B and 2A couldn't beat some of the teams in the bottom half, at least, of 1A. So outside of the top few in 1A there isn't much difference. Look at Dromore a few years ago, they got promoted from 1B and 1A in consecutive seasons. If there was that big a difference they would have struggled as soon as they stepped up to 1A. The same goes all the way down the divisions i.e Prospect B in Division 4 could play comfortably at least three divisions higher with the squad they have. A lot of teams have started in low divisions and worked all the way up because if your a good team your a good team. The division you are in doesn't neccissarily represent the team assembled. In a lot of cases fitness is usually the big difference from the top divisions right down to the bottom (obviously the quality in player too but not all the time).
I think myself that the Boro B will stay in 1B if they drop them down to a lower league the L.D.M.C. will have to sort out whos going up and whos going down in the other leagues and that means changing the fixtures and that wont happen.
Agree with you soreloser big game for us against croom sunday, they beat us in the league already and they have beaten summerville in their last two games so we know we face a huge battle to get 3 points sunday.
boro b did win the leauge a few years back by 1 point in 2a but in my opinion cals won the leauge that year..... boro won it by default. 2nd last game of season player went down inj in injury time when they were losing 2-1 game called off, nothing wrong with the player. they won the objection against killfinane and won the leauge...... the standard in 2a has improved since then and if im not mistaken boro b that year were only winning games by the odd goal so to think you would win by big scores in 2a is a stupid comment.
jesus mundener i was playing for kilfinane that day biggest farce ever they were losing and we had control of the game they knew it and nothing at all wrong with the player a cheat in my book even the cals team was there that day and saw the whole thing themselves ref was a joke and lets just say ldmc do what they do best make the wrong decisions and under no circumstances were we going to head in there to play them again after the stroke they pulled ..we had it won and they couldnt handle it..
The Boro lads won't like these comments!!! agree with you though, Cals were absolutely robbed that year, they were the best team in the league. It's a shame that Boro B got thrown out this season. Last season they were a good side, and personally, I love playing up in Pearse Stadium, the pitch is always nice to play on and the Boro lads like to play ball

Wembley 1 Croom 1, we werent at the races today. Played on a very soft and bumpy pitch. In my oppion a draw was the right result, croom are a good team and will be in the shack up for promotion i reckon. Their 2 forwards are very tricky to mark and have bags of energy, their center half was very impressive also.. Only down side their sideline was a disgrace, constantly roaring and abusing the refs decisions and their linesman was constantly flagging the wrong way, and at one stage the ref had to ask him to stop acting the boll*x with it.I think they will win alot more of their upcoming matchs so its going to be a very interesting run in.
We where very poor again today, croom owned the 1st half and although we had the better of the 2nd half our overall performance wasnt good enough.Huge improvement needed because at the moment we dont look like a side ready for promotion.Only positive for us is we managed to avoid defeat.Best of luck to croom for the rest of the season

Croom are busting heads lately. Why the massive improvement?? Anyone??
is this the reason for the dip in good results for them.
Just one for the wembley lads how many players did yer A team sign this year and are ye getting many too training
Predictions

Result. Charleville 1-2 Shannon Hibs.
Rob Wall penalty and Gary Leahy with our other. Penalty for Charleville also.
Charleville not happy with the referee. He gave us a soft penalty but Charleville never looking like scoring. Charleville with a lot of the ball but not able to make it count.

"unhappy with the referee" is an understatement pal. Ye weren't too happy with him either by the way. Some of the decisions he made were just plain idiotic. He gave ye a penalty which clearly wasn't a penalty, perfectly good tackle on yere midfielder. I was even talking to him myself after the game and he said it wasn't a penalty. Also felt the ref should've sent off yere defender in 1st half, our striker was just about to shoot when he was brought down, don't like seein anyone get sent off but the rules are the rules. The standard of refereeing in 1A this season is atrocious
I would agree bout standard of the refs its awful!!! We were turned down a blatent pen in 1st half refs have been against us last couple of weeks!! Good win missin a few aswell.
lankyboy26 as i am new to this site standards of refereeing is slipping but you seem to be on about refs week in and week out it is hard for them, what would u do if none turned up for a match 2 weeks in a row?take any ref just to have a game no point giving out about them just get on with it like everyone else,as they say you cant have a soccer match with out a ref
Amateur refs, amateur standard. Can't expect more than that when we are only playing Junior soccer. If the LOI level is poor there is no way our standard is going to be good. In saying that though there is one or two very good refs around.
well actually sometimes the refs don't bother turning up for matches. and as for them being amateurs, i don't buy that argument, they do courses and exams on the laws of the game, so they should be capable of getting decisions right. what you have in limerick is about 3 very good referees, not afraid to make decisions and enforce the laws of the game. the last few games that we've played, the referees have been absolutely useless (for both sides), afraid to make decisions, and that essentially is my problem with them

Result from divisional cup last night. Wembley 3-1 Shannon Hibs. Wembley well worth their win, we were in contention for the first half but a sloppy mistake at the back cost us. Second half Wembley started to control the game and pulled away. Proved too strong for us in the end.
