To be fair to Dunphy he nails his colours to the mast, before later backtracking shamelessly.

He doesn't backtrack shamelessly, he just says it like he has genuinely forgot, or like he never said it at all.
Really? ;)

Greg Cunningham gonna be up on the Football Show on OTB after 9.
Was it any good? I really want to see him and Doherty in the next squads.
interview available here: http://cdn.radiocms.net/media/001/au...audio_file.mp3
Interesting that Cunningham and Ryan Manning, who played on opposing teams in last weekend's game between Preston and QPR, were next-door neighbours growing up and used to have back-garden kickabouts together: https://twitter.com/Cunningham_17/st...rc=twsrc%5Etfw
Yeah, he was talking about that in the interview saying how he loved playing against Manning.
Dave Seddon, who covers Preston North End on behalf of the Lancashire Evening Post, spoke to Balls.ie on the surprise of Preston fans at the exclusion of Greg Cunningham from the latest international squad, especially in light of Robbie Brady's absence through suspension: https://www.balls.ie/football/greg-cunningham-361132
Gavin Cooney of Balls.ie suggests that Cunningham may have missed out due to being selected on the right of defence for Preston and playing poorly during a game that happened to be watched by Martin O'Neill:Quote:

The gaffer has confirmed that Greg Cunningham has fractured his leg and will miss the rest of the season. More to follow.
Ah Jesus that's terrible
Suggestion seems to be it's his fibula cause he played on/tried to play on. That wood b a good result
Preston hoping to have him back for pre-season.
Injury update
Liamoo11: "Soft Cunningham only plays on for a couple of minutes with minor leg break"
Linked with Cardiff.

Cunningham's recovered from the fracture and is back in training ahead of the new season, interview on Preston's site here: https://www.pnefc.net/news/2017/july...-for-the-club/
I was about to say that was a very quick recovery and then I remembered Liamoo saying he should have carried on until full time.
If Cardiff swoops in for Cunningham the benefit for us could be that Kevin O'Connor will have a better chance at getting on the field for Preston at left fullback.
If Cunningham leaves, Preston will bring in another LB.
This lad has horrible luck.
Cunningham ruled out for extended period/
They don't opt for O'Connor to replace him either. He's on the bench today.
Only starter is Maguire who is down for an assist for the opening goal of the match. Aboy Seani.
PNE fans on their forum seem to have been happy with Maguire today. "Excellent" was on poster's conclusion and there are a few more positive comments.
Apparently the stand-in for Cunningham did well too so that's O'Connor gathering splinters for a while. That said, the Championship has such a hectic schedule that he will get his chance.
Being heavily linked with newly-promoted Cardiff: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44380823
That would be ideal for Cunningham and perhaps Kevin O'Connor too.
Signs for Cardiff - https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news...igns-for-city/
Some sources saying the fee will be £4m.
Delighted to see him get to the Premier League. Hopefully this will allow him to mount a serious challenge to Stephen Ward.
We very well potentially could have 5 full-backs starting in the Premier League come August; Coleman, Christie and Doherty on the right and Cunningham and Ward on the left.
