I would have liked Clarke to be picked...sentimentally, who wouldn't? He's coming in to a bit of form too and is a great Ryder Cup player. However, I believe there is little wrong with Faldo's two picks. Casey is a quality golfer who imo definitely would have qualified automatically if he player less in America. The experience of playing so much over there will really stand to him, and the team in general.
Poulter is a very underestimated golfer. I think he wil do well. It's also reassuring that during the Ryder Cup, players must wear a standard uniform as it were...the sight of bright pink plus fours, or his Union Jack trousers would really have put me off.
