I refer to your ticket application for the above fixture.
Due to the extensive number of people wishing to travel to this fixture and the limited allocation of just 5,000 tickets, which is our 10% entitlement as per FIFA rules, we were not in a position to meet full demand. The fixture was oversubsribed by more than twice the number of tickets we received.
We have made a special request to the German FA for an additional allocation of tickets; however, we have yet to receive a reply to this request.
Before these tickets could be allocated to the various sectors of the game the FAI had contractual obligations and committments to sponsors, partners, squad members and our official travel agent.
The remaining tickets were distributed between members of the football family and those individual holding a block booking at Lansdowne Road. Due to the highlighted shortage of tickets all individual block bookers were entered in a draw. As in previous situations where a draw was necessary the method used was to include each name once in the draw for every two tickets held on the block booking for home games at Lansdowne.
Unfortunately on this occasion your name was not drawn resulting in you not being allocated tickets for this fixture.:(
We appreciate your disappointment. However, as with all away games the number of tickets we receive is not within our control.I have enclosed the cheque/draft/postal order providedwith the original application. Any credit card numbers provided have not been debited. Your details will be kept on file in the event that additional tickets become available at any stage and a second allocation takes place.
