A brilliant cup final, atmosphere was amazing in the Derry end and Pats fans played their part too as did both teams from the 2nd half.
Totally wrecked now after staying on Sat night and voice is gone.
Honestly felt for Pats and their fans but hey I'm a proud Derry fan so delighted with that performance.

Really enjoyable trip yesterday, great game, great atmosphere and the Pats fans that I was chatting to were sound. Have to watch it again as there was quite a few decisions (both ways) that I thought the referee got wrong. Where did the 3 minutes of injury time at the end come from?
Most of your gripes can be ignored by a fan at the stadium, but there's no escape from that music/dj, it's pure hell and soul destroying.Quote:

One thing I would like to commend is giving us ST holders premium seats yday. Ok I know they wouldnt have sold for the final anyways but still it was good to be there. Also thought it was good that the top tier was closed. At least it made the ground look reasonably full and better atmosphere. To be fair it was a really crap day (weatherwise) in Dublin and hardly encouraged many on-the-day types to attend. Decent match and good atmosphere from both sets of fans. have to say I thought ref did a good job.Quote:

I think it's much better having it in the Aviva - it really makes it a special occasion and raises the profile of it. On TV the crowd looked decent - certainly you wouldn't have thought the stadium was only 1/3rd full.Quote:

Definitly prefer the AVIVA. It gives it a real sense of occasion and most of the pre match talk from the players is about getting to play in such a good stadium. Despite the fact it wasn't even half full the atmosphere made by both sets of fans made it seem like it was full.Quote:

Also a special mention to Ger Doherty and Mark Farren (even tho he didn't play). Fantastic stuff from Doherty on the day and from Farren over the course of the season.
Over 16k at it, think we ended up selling 7k tickets so with what Pats sold and guessing most neutrals going for them it was probably 50 50.
I reckon if we get there next season we would bring over the 10k mark as a lot if people didn't even realise it was in so nice of a stadium!!!

Well done Derry. Myself and the lads I went with were supporting Pats for the day. Felt bizarre celebrating their goals though! Also thought both sets of fans were great and created an atmosphere far superior to anything at an Ireland match.
Definitely Lansdowne. I'd have the match in Tolka or Flancare over Tallaght. Really starting to dislike that ground, though can't put my finger on why. Awful location as well, no pubs around.Quote:

Delighted to getting into Europe after the season we've had, after it looking bleak for most of it.
The team are showing off the cup in Guildhall Square at 7, which should be a bit of craic too.
I went with my fellow Shels supporting 11yo brother for his 3rd Cup Final in a row and we went in supporting Derry. It was mad how we celebrated their goals alright./ I haven't seen him that animated in a long timeQuote:

Easily the best of the 3 Lansdowne finals and despite some of the mistakes by the ref, we didn't have the absolute jokeshop that was last year.
I think on the day Derry shaded it. Still trying to figure out how that last period of ET lasted so long.
I'd have said the opposite. Derry had the crappy end well populated, the lower tier from one goal the whole way to the half way line and some people in the stand behind the dugouts, then people scattered about in the premium level. From where I was sitting it looked like Pats mainly filled part of the lower tier of the South Stand and maybe behind the Pats dugout, hard to see and then scattered from there.Quote:
