You see a lot of people giving out about videographers not doing something to help, which I usually reject because there's invariably a risk to the videographer. In this case though, I'd like to kick the guy in the balls. Seriously, he was there for yonks filming this, it never occurred to him to get a rope and another car, and save the owners of these cars tens of thousands of dollars that they'll never be able to claim back from insurance.
