How is the 2nd half going? The42 match tracker seems to say Shkupi have upped their game.
Mannus is playing very well…..
2-1 now; nervy times ahead?
Sounds like it was coming too
I know this is probably a european football for beginners question but I don’t pay too much attention to all that.
Do individual leg wins help the coefficient or does it have to be winning the tie?
Rovers have coughed up a lot of chances. Will do well now to take a lead to Skjope
Each match win/draw helps the national coefficient, which sets when clubs enter the tournament and I think is the baseline seeding coefficient for clubs who didn't qualify for the past five years.
Club seedings (where a club has been in Europe) are based off how far you get in the tournament though
Shkupi down to ten now. That'll be a relief - but a third would be nice to bring to NM.
Someone commented previously that Daniel McDonnell had said that Pat's style of play is suited for Europe. Seems an accurate enough assessment based on this evening's showing. They left a goal or two behind. It was a very competent display. A two goal lead would have had them in a strong position. It's hard to see Sofia not scoring.
Red card for Shkupi
Thought Rovers looked in all sorts of trouble there before the sending off.
It's the cup winner place - and that was to do with structuring the draw so they had the right number of teams in the final qualifying rounds after all last years winner qualified through their respective leagues and ban on russian teams. They would have had more room to manouver if the europa league (champions league lite) wasn't a closed shop, but they had to bump up 12 CW after accommodating other factors.
There's the third - Shkupi will be kicking themselves (now that they've stopped kicking Rovers)
Shkupi kind of doing a Rovers there at the end.
Great night for Pats. Wobbly but job done from Rovers. Poor aul Sligo, especially after last week's heroics. Past few weeks overall have been a great ad for the LoI, IMO.
Big goal for Rovers at the end,Shkupi are a lairy bunch and that away tie is going to be horrible, calm heads needed out there.....
