Beyond a joke at this stage.
Beyond a joke at this stage.
That's it, feck them out now. Can't wait another week!
I desperately hope that's a wind up.
do you reckon the FAI would wait for any other club like this........
****ing joke. **** them out now!
why does justice laffoy seem to have such a soft spot for cork?
It's a FAAARRRCCCEEE
No tax clearance cert, no payments to employees, 65% rule smashed. If they get a Premier Licence the other clubs should demand that the Licensing Committee resign and be replaced by a new committee appointed by UEFA as they are clearly not an independent body.
I assume that gives them an extra week to pay the revenue?
Rest of the league being ridden rock solid
I think you may be correct ...this ***** is snakier than a bag of cobras...theres some uefa technicality whereby the money must come from the club account and this was frozen so he couldn't transfer the money to the revenue...The cynic in me is looking at his involvement with Aib and his Aib mates as to the real reason the account wasn't un-frozen
Expel them from the league, premier, first , and A.
How the hell can the FAI expect Bray to be prepared for the Premier Division if next week they are promoted? Absolute joke, hang yere heads in shame.
The FAI have no shame
From the Cork forum -
Bit worrying that there's no mention of the takeover there. TNB wants to pay Revenue from the Kevin Long money when they can be paid from the FORAS/Quintas investment. Worrying for Cork, I'd have thought.Quote:
AIB ordered to unfreeze CCFC account to receive 158k from the FAI, of which 107k goes to the revenue by Wednesday. No tax clearance cert today so licence.
i assume that like every other winding up order in the high court the law must give every chance to the company before it for winding up....
HOWEVER....
the FAI have an obligation to the other 21 clubs to clear this mess up for once and for all. Act now or you are a laughing stock (again)...
The case hasn't even been heard yet according to 96FM...are they just slow?
Cancelling my patron scheme with ATFC. Not subscribing to this league anymore.
Because they have to.
The FAI are holding the Kevin Long money because Cork's bank account is frozen. The FAI have no legal right to deny Cork their money.
If the deal is signed then I think a provisional licence will be awarded.
If nothing is signed, then no licence will be awarded.
Roo69, they won't. Because they're a pack of hyenas and they know the next one to fall could be one of them. So they don't want the others gorging on their carcass! It's as I said from the start when Roddy was interviewed on 98fm or Newstalk, he was "assured" Cork would have a Premier licence (not by Tom) and he'll be in Cork until he runs in the summer, after having the club dragged through the courts for his scumbaggery and lies. Can't blame the FAI, it has to be all done legally because of the low class of people they're dealing with - they'll be dragged through the courts as well!
A provisional license = me ripping up everything I have that is associated with soccer in this country.
Cant help a league that doesnt want to help itself
Signed by when? Doesn't sound like Tom has any plans to do it any time soon. Unless he's planning on doing one with the money when the account is unfrozen.
I presume Quintas have pulled the take over bid as the deal was not done by lunch time today. No way should there be any kind of extension for the license for Cork City. If there is there should be a boycott from all the other clubs from the Premier right down to the A league.
Im feeling the same as father damo and Hammernthongs , its a joke , im 99% towards jacking it , ive already finished any voluntary work I was doing with the blues , just sickening to see them bend over backwards like this, time to man up and deny the license , let foras into the A championship ( thats me being generous ) and leave the rest of us get on with it .
Should us as fans not start demanding resignations , email Fran Gavin , John Delaney and what not , im just SICK of it.
Makes sense now that I think of it. He'll take it as a pay off for himself then "offer" to do the deal with the consortium, leaving them to pay the bills including the €107k supposed to be going to the Revenue. It's up to the FAI to stop him though I'm not sure he'd give a flying one if the company goes under or not provided he got some cash.
Agree 100%, when I think of what was done to Cobh last season and now this.. Incredible, before anyone thinks that I'm having a go at City far from it, this saga has proved beyond any doubt the crock of **** that licensing is, it is just a box ticking exercise, a jobs for the boys routine, licensing has shown itself to be so flawed it beggars belief.
There is one law for one club and another law for other clubs. Licensing also heaps unnecessary costs on clubs that can ill afford it.
