The only club I absolutely don't trust for attendances is Salthill. I don't think anyone else is ever very far off the mark.

Also the attendances in thomond certainly arent disappointing to me.
There now seems to be about a thousand people in the midwest willing to turn up to watch any ol ****e (tonights great entertainment not withstanding.)
I would have took it in rathbane and jackman and pike and rathbane again and jackman again!
Senior football in Limerick has came from uniquely low roots in the last two decades. Plenty of jam today and the promise of more jam tomorrow these are the good times as far as im concerned. :)
Charlie your ehh jokes are getting a bit stale. Shush :)
Who's joking?
Yer man? Video shows everyone on their feet singing and clapping. Why does it bother you so much. Get over yourself.
Knowing that there are 4 figure attendances in Limerick is good, and knowing that there is a 4 figure base/core support is even better. It's been along time since Limerick were growing like this and long may it last.
On another topic, I know this sounds a bit ott, but I've gotten the feeling (from posts and exchanges on here) that Athlone are performing like Monaghan, much as I like their fans and those of Athlone too. I know it looks like good times, but such attitude is not going to endear if it goes t s up. I'd love to see Athlone go up, any match I've seen them play has been entertaining (even under Brendan Place), but give it a wee rest on the self-righteous outrage at times.
The attendance for the Athlone game is an exaggeration. I counted and only got 980. Hope this clarifies the matter.
On a serious note though its great to see such a big attendance, proving once again that Irish people will support any sport as long as the team is winning.
Extratime gives 1500 estimated for Bohs v UCD.
Would have said 800-1000 myself.
Not trying to sound bitter but I agree with you there as the last thing I was told leaving ferrycarrig park tonight by a youths fan was whatever you do don't let them Athlone so and so's win the league.
However nearly 1000 people is nightly impressive and I'd be hoping a huge traveling support will help us tip 1000 next weekend also.
The chant 'where were you when you were ****' is very apt in a lot of cases here!
Considering its a bank holiday weekend and several junior clubs had training last night,1200 was'nt too bad.
ATFC, you do realise, when you keep trying to land other clubs, when it goes belly up, you won't get much sympathy. It's always better to win with modesty and lose with grace, regardless of the past 18 years or so, you are going to lose more neutrals once there's the bile built up. Slagging aside of course.
I'd love to see Longford AND Athlone go up, and while I don't want to see any of the top flight sides go down, but 2 midland sides would be great for business and lifting the profile of the league.
Well done to Athlone on that attendence,if the correct board are running the club then theres no reason they cant go up and stay up.I tipped them to win the league at the start of the year and it was mainly down to Roddy been there! Think they have to be favourites now,There should be able to get close to 1k for the remainder of the home games if they stay top.
