Loads of spare seats about though. They should have sold those seats and even asked us to move to one big group rather than leaving people outside.

The match was sold out, the reason for the empty seats around the Derry fans is because (a) some fans buy tickets for the stand but stand behind the goal (b) at the other end of the stand from the Derry supporters is the singing section where Rovers fans congregate and don't sit thus more people can be acomadated there and (c) we have over 2,000 season ticket holders and not every one of them attends every game. Those are the reasons why even though the match is sold out there are empty seats. On H&S grounds we won't sell the seats 'twice'.

We had about 200-250, not as many as the last time we played Pats, think it was because alot are back from Holiers, cant afford it, bank holiday weekend etc etc! Either way Pats where at home and their crowd was pathetic!

Are you not allowed to sell tickets to stand behind the goal? It seems a bit strange that people have to buy a seat in the stand to watch the game from there. There doesn't seem to be any issue with people standing there either.

Don't think they can sell tickets for there as it couldn't be classed as a terrace or anything. I've ended up standing there myself for a couple of games, it's a decent view and you get the full atmosphere as you can hear both sets of fans singing. I think people just end up there after going to the chipper or whatever and don't bother going back to seats, that or they come in late and can't find a bunch of seats together.

It's no worse than the standing areas in Monaghan, Bray or Waterford though. I assume Monaghan's capacity isn't the 400 or so seats they have in the stand.

True enough, hadn't really thought about that, then again SDCC have been know to be very concerned about "health and safety" issues.

UCD fans might have a better idea but probably about 300/350 at the game the other night with at least half of them from Waterford. My first visit to UCD's new ground and its nice with a good playing surface.

Exaggerated i think - the Jodi was close to full, I think = 2,800, with 200 tops in the Shed ( Cork only).
