My great friend, Dick O'Rafferty, who was one of the 10 guys I would invariably go to away games with. Dick died from a brain tumour on Sunday night. His last match was the away defeat in Wales. He was a "voyeur" on foot.ie and would often comment in person to me on posts he saw on the site but he never told me what his nickname or handle was or whether he ever posted.

Sorry to hear that OwlsFan. Tough to lose a close friend. May he rest in peace.
A former colleague. Never worked together but would have bumped into him a few times via golf society. An absolute gentleman by all accounts, was speaking to a few colleagues this evening who worked with him and were very cut up at the news. Condolences to you Owlsfan. RIP.
You've probably seen this, OF and PI, but if not it's a very fine tribute to your friend.

Danika McGuigan from "Cant Cope, Wont Cope". She was great in it. Always very sad for cancer to take someone so young.
Couple of sporting icons - Malcolm Nash who got tonked for six sixes in an over by Gary Sobers, and Brian Lochore, the former All Blacks rugby captain.
Daniel Johnston. First heard of him in 2007 or 2008 after watching "The Devil and Daniel Johnston". His music was a bit out there for me (i do have a couple of his songs on my giant playlist) but he inspired many and his life was like one big crazy story. At last he can rest in peace.

Just for form's sake I am going to mention Gay Byrne here since future generations perusing this thread might think we didn't notice. Sure, he knew nothing about sport although he did contrive to have me miss Match of the Day on Saturday for many years as the parents weren't for budging from The Late Late. My mother was also a panelist a couple of times, once with my sister on a mother and daughter chat and she was exposing views slightly to the right of John Charles McQuaid :O
