watchin arsenal-boro now, don't have a clue who's who 'cause they both have white sleeves
Speaking of which...
What about Bohs purple goalkeeper's jersey? Under the floodlights, it looked just like the solid black back of their outfield player's jerseys. Surely this is a bigger clash than the Pats/Rovers sleeve controversy (and could be easily resolved).
Do I detect a hint of bitterness and dare I say, Scouse type behaviour, from the fake Rovers contingent?
Do I detect a hint of unnecessary baiting and, dare I say, troll-type behaviour from a poster who should know better?
More controversy! By the sound of things, Sligo got confused and kept passing to Pats players

ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC 23 SLIGO ROVERS 3
ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC breezed into the semi-finals of the FAI Eircom Futsal Cup as they annihilated Sligo Rovers at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.
The Saints, featuring a squad of futsal specialists from Brazil, Poland and Moldova, possessed far too much know-how for the Bit O’Red and were 10-1 up at the break.
Almost every player in the St Pat’s squad hit the net with Pavel Markievicz, Wojciech Korzan and Artur Opeldus each bagging four goals.
Korzan opened the scoring after just 30 seconds and it was all downhill from there for Sligo.
Maciej Lewandowski and Alexandru Gutu also scored hat-tricks while Rodrigo De Melo, Sergi Musteata, Thomasz Chudy scored once and Nilton Sant’Ana notched two.
St Pat’s meet Bray Wanderers in the semi-finals, a side that they drew with in the group stages.
ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC – Marcelo Wichmann; Thomas Chudy, Sergi Musteata, Rodrigo De Melo, Alexandru Gutu, Maciej Lewandowski, Ricardo Heidtmann, Pavel Markievicz, Artur Opeldus, Nilton Sant’Ana, Sebastian Palyska, Wojciech Korzan.
SLIGO ROVERS – Aaron Walsh; Keith Foy, Garry Curran, Ross McLaughlin, Alan Maguire, James Keaney, Chris Cleary, Brendan Fitzsimons, Ruairi Lynch.
spot the paddy in the pats team - its all about international integration.
I take it Foy wasn't in goal for Sligo, Pats would never of put 23 goals past him if he was. :DQuote:

St. Patrick’s Athletic fined €1,000 as a result of a colours clash v Sligo Rovers (07.03.08). The club was found to be in breach of Rule 13.3 of the Participation Agreement. Notwithstanding the finding of the Committee that Sligo Rovers were in breach of the rules by not bringing a second strip, the failure by the club to comply with the Referee’s instruction was clearly in breach of the Rules.
Sligo Rovers fined €1,000 as a result of a colours clash v St. Patrick’s Athletic (07.03.08). The club was found to have failed to bring a second strip as required. Notwithstanding the assertion by the club that the second strip would have clashed, the failure to bring this second strip was one of the factors which led to the situation that occurred.
so if we had brought our red kit which actually clashes with pat's kit we could have saved ourselves e1000? 1 of the 2 clubs is at fault, how can both be fined??
Agreed.
In a seperate issue, we got fined €100 for throwing till rolls/toilet paper while Pat's only got fined €150 for throwing 2 bottles. Should be a lot more for bottles imo.
While Longford got no fine for till roll been thrown in their game Vs. Fingal:confused:. I know it's up to the ref to put it in his report but he did see it like.
yep, €50 per bottle.
Nit picking over fines doens't help anybody...
****ing disgrace,Rovers were humiliated and have to pay €1,000??As for the 3 bottles,€50 is a ****ing joke.FAI are are ****ing bunch of idiots
PLastic is cheaper, as are 350ml bottles compared to 500 ml. I think Green glass cst more than clear
I'll have to look it up
i didnt think there was a problem with the till/toilet rolls? is that new?
think of all them this is the silliest, no one will get hurt and its not dangerous throwing them on before a game, it just adds to the colour and atmosphere and might help promote the league, god forbid
What colours did Bray and Rovers wear?
