Clerks, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Dogma , Clerks 2
Not obscure but not exactly mainstream either
Saw Hairspray last week. Really Enjoyed it. Any film that has John Travolta in a female fat suit dancing with Christopher Walken has to be worth seeing anyway.
Would be a good "date" film.
Going to Die Hard 4 tonight. Heard it's good. any comments?
Die Hard 4 rocks.
Does he still have a headache in this one?

Just watched Being John Malkovich for the first time in a few years and it still blows my mind.
Charlie Kaufman + Spike Jonze = Movie Heaven.
I enjoyed Ultimatum and it's the first movie I've seen this summer that was above average. I don't think it surpassed number 2 but it was still enjoyable. ****ed all over the so called summer blockbusters.
Bought goodfellas the other day, unbelievable i loved it. Must get scarface the weekend and then onto the godfathers!
Seeing as Ingmar Bergman won't be making any more films i was wondering what forum members think of his films.
I've seen "The Seventh Seal" and "Persona".
Seventh Seal was quite good I thought. A fairly simple story about life and death.
Persona is bit tougher going. Only 2 characters and long sections of dialogue but very good and one to make you think.
taxi driver, raging bull, deer hunter, once upon a time in america (pettern developing there ;)) rounders, swingers, fear and loathing in las vegas, napolean dynamite,
shawshank redemption, scarface, all the godfathers, cinderella man, man on fire, hurricane, seven, braveheart, michael collins, some mothers son, in the name of the father, anchor man, wedding crashers, reseroir dogs, pulp fiction, the exorcist, 300 spartans, even transformers!!

has anybody seen the prestige yet? Christian Bale is in that as well. Quality film.
Yes it's very good.
Wolf Creek is on tomorrow night on RTE, is it worth watching
Wolf creek was disturbing........based on a true story (apparently)
Was talking to an Aussie about that, and whilst the incident is based on a true story (i.e. the backpackers getting lost, and one of them being arrested for what happened) he said that the bushman story is kinda like a boogeyman tale over there and he's not sure the movie should have represented it as based solely on one story
Wouldn't normally be a horror fan but thought the American and Japanese versions of "The Ring" were good and of course "The Shining" is a classic.
"Here's Johnny"
