yesterday i thought to myself there's no way connor would let something like that(faz&turner to linfield) happen. any1 done a google on a 20yo cb at hibs?
Saw that alright, Connor said Turner was in Sligo the other day to put pen to paper(although, he didn't actually say he had signed:confused: ) and Faz is back home in Bosnia at the moment but will be returning soon and both are looking forward to playing for us next season:).Quote:

Stephen O'Donnell will be joining Finn Harps within the next few days. I hope he does well with them, a great player and deserves whatever success he can get, would still be with us if not for the falling out with Connor I'd say:(.
i seriously doubt he would because of his commitments to the army. i think ppl too quickly point the finger at connor. how many quality players have we lost because of a falling out???? none! stephen seems like a nice fella&was great at times but over the two season's i thought he was inconsistent. he missed the whole of pre-season last year along with the tail end of the season in 2004. i don't think connor would want any player with these kind of distractions no matter ther relationship is like between the two of em.Quote:

F**k sake....I know he's not done much 4 us but its yet another player gone! we have signed 2 players and we have let about 10 go if browne leaves.
EL's is the 22nd February, IL's? I've no idea.Quote:

Athlone Town boss Michael O'Connor has signed defender Ian Rossiter from First Division Champions Sligo Rovers.
The 24-year-old has spent most of his career with the north-westerners, having originally signed in 1999.
He has also had spells with Galway United, Newry City and Finn Harps.
The Sligo native was part of Brian Kerr's Under-16 European Championship winning side in 1998.
He is a natural right back, but can play on the right wing or at left back.
From Aertel.

That's him and Sheridan at Athlone now. Hope he does well with them:)
5 trialists will be joining the squad along with new signings Turner and Foy when pre-season begins on Jan 21st.
Among the five are a keeper Charlie Tracy.
Included are 3 U-21 players, (2 Irish and 1 Scot) that have been released by English clubs.
does under 21 mean they will be playin for the 21's or are you just sayin there under 21 years of age??
i think 3 overaged players are allowed to play
Keith Foy is probably the most technically gifted left sided player in the eircom League. He is however a bit over weight. If he managed to lose the extra couple of pounds and gain his full fitness he would be the difference between a relegation fight and mid table.Quote:

It hits me every now and again that I wont have the pleasure of watching such a wonderful footballer playing next season and it depresses me to think that he will no longer wear the Mons shirt.
Anyway have said it loads of times b4 but you really have got yourselves one hell of a footballer.
The Galway forum is linking us with Alan Keane. He really impressed me on our last visit to Terryland.
sean said in 1 of the papers that he had 95% completed his main transfer target any1 know who this is?
Yes. I do.
whats his name?
Oh, sorry, Redtop only asked if anyone knew his name.
avvenlaf if you are going to talk crap then i suggest you go elsewhere either you know the name of the player or you dont.
whats his bleedin name??? ???
I've heard all will be revealed later this week.
portadown's gary hamilton has had his offer of a new contract turned down. 2 irish league club and 2 eL clubs have already spoken to him. although it's unlikely we could afford him i'd say connor will have a chat with him
It's announced on Ocean FM this morning, that a press conferance is organised for lunchtime Fri, in the Radisson. Up to 4 new players introduced.
Looks like he's got his English League 1 target. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got Chris Breen as well. Sean does not give up easily.
2 of them are Foy and Turner
another may be the makenzie lad who is currently on trial.the three of them are staying in the radisson at the moment.avenalaaf is another one of these boys who joined the forum at the end of the season.id say he hasn't a clue who the target is.what i can tell you is that sean is after a midfielder from darlington.i don't know his name yet though.
Yeah, right, Darlington is falling down with midfielders !!!. Don't be so feckin' lazy, do your research through the Darlington site and then you might be able to stick a name on him.
No, according to the other Rovers forum, it's those two plus four more:).Quote:

Care to elaborate a bit on that?Quote:

sure he signed browne and he allways drunk a lot lol
we could list a good few players if we are going to do this
:D
Premier Division newcomers Sligo Rovers have stepped up their interest in Portadown striker Gary Hamilton – but with little funds to spend, will not be able to bring the Northern Ireland international to the Showgrounds before his contract expires in the summer.
Hamilton faces an uncertain future at Shamrock Park, with Ports manager Ronnie McFall withdrawing his latest contract offer earlier this week.
The former Blackburn Rovers man had been offered the new deal in November, but had yet to sign it two months on.
Although Linfield and Drogheda United are keen on making a quick swoop for the 25-year-old front man, McFall insists he will stay at Portadown for the remainder of the Carnegie Irish Premier League season – when Sligo manager Sean Connor will hope to make him a Rovers player.
Connor told the Irish Sun: “I know that Ronnie McFall is looking for a fee now but I’ve got a budget at Sligo so we’ll wait for him. I’d be looking more at getting a pre-contract agreement tied up with him.
“I spoke to Gary and we are interested in signing him. He’s a top player. He’s an international and has a good touch and a real eye for goal and, at 25, is the right kind of age.”
