the tipperary league is nothing special thats why ye're both "out of town" every year and can contest the latter stages of the munster junior and FAI. try getting out of limerick every year in the munster and fai.

get your facts right..this is clonmels first time out of town in the fai in 4 years....and in the first game in cork saints played fairview off the park football wise but didn't win...thats my point the best football playing teams don't always win.. in the replay in the fairgreen no football was played and fairview deserved to come back and winQuote:

I saw Saints v Town in the league this year and Town could have scored six or seven. Saints are a fine side but this rubbish emanating from West Tipperary is an insult to a proud and fine club.Quote:

Clonmel Town win 0-2 away to St. Itas and are away to winners of Leeside and Drinagh Rangers in semi. Three of last years last four are back in the semi-finals again.
I was at the Carrick game and Adrian Walsh was magnificent. Referee was poor but Carrick were comfortably the better team and deserved to advance.
who do you fancy to win it out?Quote:

IF you were at the game you must of seen carew park hit the post twice missed a couple of handy one on ones and not forgeting the miss of the season in injury time free header two yards out keeper beaten by the cross and put it wide. so tipp man for you to post the above i dont think you were even at the game. and lads if ye think im going over the top by saying 4_1 by the star tomorrow or the leader today and read it for yer selfs.
Thats funny. You didn't mention the three or four chances that Carrick missed in the second half to seal it. Keith Walsh rounded the keeper and shot wide; Anthony Power stole in from the left on three occasions and should have scored. Ian Cleary might have had two. So yes I was there and yes the better team won.Quote:

Any result from the Drinagh V Leeside game? Town will play the winners in Turners Cross.
Don't think it was played. Was it?Quote:

great game to watch. leeside tried their best after going down 2 nil but got a bit carried away with giving out to the ref and linesmen. They were WCL refs and Drinagh are used to keeping their mouths shut when it comes to our refs. Is it definitly the 2nd of April for the semi's??? Its a great achievement for us to make the last 4 in munster considering the club is only 23 years old. The little village will look to try and fill out turner's cross!!!Quote:

what players are gonna leave saints. only players leaving would be through retirements id say they have alot of players in there thirties. they have good youth team coming through and never have problem attracting players so cant see them sliding. if there standards did drop the tsdl would be in trouble cause all other teams in premier have dropped there standard bar town and league really would be very poor next year without a top saints team
Agreed. Saints are a fine club. No slide there.Quote:

Only what i've been told though this could all change:)
there will always be rumours lads...lets wait till aug 2006 and we'll see...the FACT is that they are still there now so saints will be there and there abouts this year for munster. James walsh doesn't have to move anywhere to keep his captaincy of both the junior and amateur(intermediate+junior) squads.. he got this as a saints player and has over the years turned down offers from LOI teams,Intermediate teams in dublin and cork...Quote:

I heard that the carrick v michael's game is provisionally set for the 2nd April, can you confirm that it's definatley on the 9th?
Crystal v Killester is set for Ozier Park on 2nd April, so Id imagine Carrick v Michaels will take place on the 9thQuote:

Hows it going Drinagh. Town first choice colours are mainly orange with black trim but they have been using an all black strip for most of the season. Numbers wise, we dont usually have a big travelling support so maybe between 150 - 200 people. I'd say ye will probably have more support on the night. Best of Luck:D
Forgot to add- Check out Towns website to see team colours at www.clonmeltownfc.com
Michael's need to get a few players in for next season otherwise town will run away with the league next year.I was over to watch de youths this year over in cooke and i didnt see much comin through the ranks, maybe two players at the most.cashel youths are the team of the youth league this year, seen them play a few times this year and they look good!!Michaels will be a second rate team in time to come, wit players on the way out.If james walsh does leave they will most definately be on the slide.Think carrick will beat them hands down, but ud never know!!:ball: :ball: :ball:
Clonmel Town 4 nil winners over Drinagh Rangers. Apparently it could have been ten as the Cork team's goalie was sent off after 5 minutes.
Third final in a row for Clonmel Town. Lets just hope they finally win the bloody thing.
The sending off of the Drinagh keeper ended the game as a contest as Town were able to use the extra man to stretch Drinagh all over the pitch. Credit has to go to the Drinagh supporters who didn't stop chanting for the entire 90 mins even though the game was obviously lost. They gave their side a standing ovation at full time which was also nice to see. Town need to convert more of the chances they create. I reckon Carrick V Michaels will be a tighter affair with Carrick tipped to advance. Whoever they play hopefully Town can at last rectify their terrible final record. C'mon the TOWN.:D
