Hughton had given him his debut, had him on the bench in the league for a few games, flying it as captain with the U19s and then misses the next 15 month after injuring his knee twice. Going by that Bruce might get them out of the division next year ( The old ones are the best )
Bruce is an average manager and it takes a good to very good manager to get a team up to the premier league these days and probably with more modern coaching as well.
Molumby to me is in the mold of Mark Kinsella or Matt Holland. Both didnt really become regular Premiership or international players until later in their 20s.
Molumby will probably be a good pro like those 2 and have a good career but hes not the top class player some of us thought he could be for while
I will be pleasantly surprised if he turns out to be as good as either of them.Quote:

Graveson ended up getting a move to Real Madrid after that. I remember at the time there was commentary that Real thought they were getting a hard tackling defensive midfielder and signed the wrong bald guy. Graveson was a nice player but he wasnt a defensive midfielder by a long stretch.

Yeah he does have the look of a late bloomer, Definitely see him potentially being a top player but that potential may not be obvious until he’s 25-26, we’ve seen with the likes of Egan & Doherty that playing championship/ league 1 football in you’re early 20s doesn’t mean you’re chances of being a premiership footballer are doomed.Quote:

John Egan was seriously hampered by that leg break. He was on the verge of a first team breakthrough with Sunderland when it happened and it knocked the sh!t out of him. Happening at that age, at that time, he'd no option but to drop down the leagues to start again. Egan's ceiling was always high, arguably he's stayed at the Blades too long - a problem lots of Irish players have - but that's a different discussion.Quote:

This season WBA have had fairly volatile league form and a change in manager which must have brought a big change in approach. Worth noting the positive season Jayson is having. He is improving every game he plays in according to the WBA forums, and has now re-established himself as a starter in the post-Bruce era. Many fans giving him MOTM today in 2-0 win. He could well push on and become an integral player for us in the coming months
