It's the final paragraph that stands out to me...
"O’Connor is also a director of Mustardside Ltd and Bindford Ltd, two Dublin companies that are involved in property development projects in Dublin with Wicklow developer Greg Kavanagh and members of the Kiely family from Foxrock in Dublin."
Allegedly Kavanagh paid the players wages last month, i say again... Allegedly.
Exactly what everyone thought this shambles would be, a land grab plain and simple. I really do feel for the people of Bray who only have the best interests of the club at heart, especially those who have been driven out after years and decades of service. A pity McGettigans never got their takeover through, these boyo's obviously fobbed them off as long as they could after getting in bed with Kavanagh. They've been running the club into the ground the last few years solely to drive it out of the Carlisle to build a poxy housing estate and make €€€€ off the back of it. A disgrace.
It is time that County Councils stand up and say that there will be no rezoning of land without a public consultation. That opportunists are wasting their time and money trying to manipulate a system for personal gain at the expense of a community amenity. Making sure that there is a long and protracted or thorough process to this type of situation before any planning permission would be granted would discourage cynical land grabs. Department of Sports in conjunction with Dept. of Environment should draw up a list of local, regional, and national sporting facilities like the Carlisle grounds that means some sort of protection from celtic tiger mark II developers. May be wishful thinking but in an election year such protective systems could be .. suggested! Activating whistle blower legislation would ensure an investigation in to the motives of club owners if there is someone with concern maybe!? Do we have a 'fit for directorship' type regulation either?
Passed over in favour of the more useful 'fit for dictatorship' regulation, I think.
It was said to me arlier that it is one of the papers that the Bray chairman has said the the Carlisle Ground will be the home of Bray until they have a new better home with a youth academy attached. So future plans of the current owners are obvious enough - what is deemed as a better facility than the Carlisle would be interesting to hear. Would a Markets Fields type place fulfill this pledge or and ED Park type development.

A compendium of bits and pieces about Bray this season
Nice work. When laid out like that it really does highlight how mad things have been, and one suspects it isn't over yet.
Excellently researched and concisely put piece there Dodge. Even though it's all true/ public comments being reported, I can't wait til we all get our injunctions in the post.
its a quality read,
Rumours online again tonight that players haven't been paid. Wow
What are the rules with regards non payment of wages? Is there some kind of leighway for clubs. If they miss a payment they have a certain length of time to sort it out?
If the latest rumours are true this will mean it's consistent non payment and surely something will have to be done.
As far as I know if two consecutive payments are missed that counts as breach of contract on the clubs side and the player is entitled to an immediate release from the contract, while still being entitled to any monies owed.
Rumors out this way are that the players have been given their wages on time by cheque but then asked not cash them... then we've heard a club official say that there is no problem at all in relation to wages. Don't know who to believe at this stage.

John Deering and the other shareholders (Obviously not O'Connor and Mulvey...) is making some sort of big announcement at 6pm in the Royal Hotel today in relation to the future of Bray Wanderers...
Announced today that a handful of players have left the club.
4 squad players that have not really featured much this season so no surprises.
Gone are Peter Durrad, Jack Memery, James O'Donnell (to Athlone) and Brian Kane.
Tranfer embargo, i.e. can't sign anyone until payments are back up to date. The club can let people go though once there's an agreement with the player.
Given the level of fudge in this league regarding finances, ownership and licencing as a whole the only way to get a points deduction would probably be to take a dump on Delaney/ Rooney's desk and wipe your arse in their face while setting fire to players contracts with a lighter, all the time dancing, wiggling and jiggling to Goodbye Horses by Q Lazarus from Silence of the Lambs.
That's the headcase isn't it? He may be a nutjob but I've have more time for him than the shady feckers looking to make a fast buck from the Carlisle. Here's hoping for Bray Wanderers Peoples front or the Peoples front of Bray Wanderers.

Yeah and they would be relegated with UCD promoted in their place in November only to overturn the decision after an appeal and high court injunctions promoting them again and relegating UCD the following March days before a new season kicks off! UCD with a Premier Division budget then finally succumb to the financial strains of being back in the graveyard while Bray with a 1st Division squad don't win one game all season only to find Derry have an ineligible youth player on their books all season who never played for the senior squad and are relegated instead of Wanderers....
If this is following the same sort of trajectory as CCFC we're about due a winding up order.
We must be due another statement. It's been a while.
Quigs on twitter said the meeting was moved from The Royal to a local office somewhere as a solicitor from the continuity Bray Wanderers showed up. The thick plottens.
Long time since i done a *grabs popcorn* post but here you go.

The club is still unable to gain access to our website due to the interference of a number of individuals. Sorry for any inconvenience
Deering and the others are playing a dangerous game if they're planning on making pronouncements on the future of Bray Wanderers after the undertakings they gave the High Court. Regardless of who's in the right morally.
Starting to consider swooping in and taking over the club myself while both of these consortia are distracted fighting with each other. Who's with me?!
if i win the euromillions ill help you out

Sums up the situation. Pity that it has turned into satire.
To quote a press release from one of the many press releases made by Bray Wanderers
"We are trying to make a positive change to the match-day experience at the Carlisle Grounds”
Attachment 2318
The abuse of your paying customers, a novel way of getting people to come to games and certainly not the positive change that supporters were expecting.
Is this a new FAI initiative to attract people to watch the Airtricity League and are they fully supportive of this behavior?
Are Airtricity happy with such publicity?
One has to wonder do the Law Society condone this sort of behavior by one of its members?
I doubt Airtricity even know about it.
As to the Law Society ?
It seems they never find fault with their members especially as to the fees they charge. So don't expect any help from that quarter :)
The situation at Bray has got very messy & it seems that the FAI are unable or incapable of doing anything about it. Its the genuine Bray fans I feel sorry for. Ultimately they are the ones who suffer most.
