Don't think he'd make a huge impact on the eL but his experience does count for something.
Curtis Fleming has been released by Darlington, along with Keith Gilroy. Curtis always said he wanted to finish his career in Ireland. Wonder if there are any takers.
Nice to see Thomas Butler has found a bit of form at Hartelepool. He set up one of the goals in the 2-2 draw with Bournmouth and is now in the play-offs over the weekend. His career was going nowhere.
:) God loves a tryer..... And so does Brian Kerr apparently!! :)Quote:

No shock there, Hart was his mentor at Leeds, took him on loan at Forest and bought him at Barnsley. Once he was sacked McPhail was always going to leave.Quote:

I seen McPhail playing against Luton, whom they surprisingly beat, and he had a great game. I think he is not athletic enough for English football, but IMO I think he could have had a career on the continent, where the game is played at a slower pace.
McPhail: all the skill in the world but no physical presence whatsoever.
I've said that for years, when he was younger he should have gone abroad, he could have made a decent career out of it.Quote:

Richie Partridge has been released btw :( I reckon he'll sign for Coventry.
Fck the frowns, we should be celebrating! :)Quote:

I couldn't care where he goes, at least he'll be playing first team football (avoiding injury).
Well hopefully, as I've said on boards, I wouldn't mind if Shels put in a cheeky bid for him :) He could undoubtabley be a huge asset in Europe and coming home and getting a consistent run in a team can only help him, espically if we go a few rounds in Europe and he can prove himself against quality oppositon, but I'd be suprised if he didn't goto Coventry, they'll surely be trying very hard to sign him after the loan deal of a few seasons back.
to the st pats fan whos come up with an interesting thread. the irish times every monday gives a full update on all players playing in england, scotland. its well worth it. tells you games played, subs goals , yellow ,red cards. etc.to my st patricks friends your e back down to the rsc in the cup, blues on top again. blues boy wicklow
bluefan... the coverage of all the Irish playing cross channel seems to be directly in proportion TO THEIR COMPLETELY IGNORING THE LEAGUE IN IRELAND.... IRISH TIMES? YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGHQuote:

I see ex-Bohs player Gareth O’Connor is to sign for Burnley from Bournmouth on the 1st July. Good move for a player who had a great season.
Stephen Dawson has turned down the one year deal offered to him by Leicester City and is leaving the club.the clubs official site has admitted the terms of the offer were less than his current deal.

Jonathan Daly and Thomas Butler played last night for Hartlepool against Tranmere. Hartlepool won on pens to qualify to play Sheffield Wednesday in the Playoff Final for the Championship.
Hope this means Butler is getting some bit back on track, he was always highly rated at Sunderland before getting injured.
Neil McCafferty has been released by Charlton!!
Another from the U-19 thread I posted last week :(Quote:

Two more for your list :)
Andy Keogh
16/5/86
Striker/Midfielder
From Dublin
Represented Republic of Ireland at under 19 this season.
Cliff Byrne
27/4/82
Central Defender/Right Back
Has played under 21 for Republic of Ireland.
Both are now regulars for S****horpe Utd and helped us to win promotion to league 1 this season.
How has Andy Keogh done since he moved from Leeds?
He's doing really well and is a favourite with the fans already. Cant believe Leeds let him go for 50K. We really missed him when he was away for that under 19 competition at the end of last season.Quote:

Not sure if he was mentioned earlier as the list is to long to look through but here he is again. He's from Sligo.
