I wouldnt' be surprised if people came out in numbers for the first game, but even if they do, they won't come week in week out. It takes years of success and being competitive at the top of the table to push a clubs average from 700ish to 2/3,000.Quote:

This is getting ridiculous the club needs to sort this out and fast we will end up losing half of last season squad never mind signing new players its a farce.
Kilbane and Kerley... Close enough to being confirmed so I've heard. Thoughts? I've heard Kerley is a good coach, but I'd worry a small bit. Maybe it's just a personal thing, but it just sits a small bit uneasy with me.Quote:

I've been told by a load of lads that Kerley is an excellent coach and the only thing that stops him being a good manager is his people skills, with Kilbane handling that side of things i reckon it could be a good partnership. Id just hope that Kerley would have a good knowledge of the players that are still available in Ireland.

Apparently anyway the manager has been appointed and its just waiting to be announced so we should know soon.

After reading here Kerley out with tommy makes sense. As the supposed assistant manager surely what Kerley would want is to meet up with Tommy as soon as and see what the story with the 19's is etc... And that is what he is doing. Tommy was with Kerley above in Athlone so they obviously have a close enough relationship.
A lot of people I have talked to seem to be delighted if Kerley is assistant and Kilbane or someone else as manager.
Was told about week before Christmas from someone living out my way when I posted saying there was more to the Kilbane story than just a rumour that Kilbane was the one. It was apparently conformed by one of the coaches to him.
Mike Kerley holds a Pro Licence so that would be helpful when it comes to licensing requirements.
