Hmmm, I might have a shot at this game later. Just for the hallibut, like.

Don't forget his other sea creature friends Billy Shark, Gareth Whale, Brian Squid, Jay and Danny Shrimpson, Hector and Lloyd Clam, Gary Crabin, and Gary Seal.

We all dream of a stream of Gary Breams, a stream of Garry Breams....
Ok, enough of the silly games. Any news about Connor being called up to replace Walters?
Are you that bloke from Monty Python? Y’know, the army brass who wanders in and out of scenes...?:D
I don’t think we should tell people to can it. It’s a thread where they can fillet up with humour if they like.
And surely the question should be: is Sammon in for Waters?
Sammon has come on LEAPS and bounds, lol
Radallega out for a few months with a serious knee injury, should see more game time for Sammon
He hasn't been coming off the bench in recent weeks though; it mayn't translate into more starts. Shaun Maloney replaced Rodallega when he was injured.
Started the League Cup defeat though, but has only made two sub appearances in the league this season. Bit disappointing.
Conor Sammon.... the 4th result when you google "fish pun"!
Opportunaty for Sammon? I'd throw him in for the halibut.
He betta take advantage of this.
He's good in one-and-ones, I hear.
I wonder if eel read any of this but you know what they say:
You can tune a guitar, but you can't tuna fish. Unless of course, you play bass
Anyways...
Made his first league start of the season against Blackburn. Didn't see the game obviously, but they scored twice while he was on, and goal.com had this to say -
A few more starts could do him the world of good.Quote:
Preferred in attack ahead of Hugo Rodallega and he led the line excellently. The ball seemed to stick to him every time his team mates tried to find him and his strength enabled him to battle well against Dann and Hanley. He was replaced by Rodallega after 68 minutes.
No mahi mahi as we're loaded on the striker front.
Yes, he'll need to do a heck of a lot to get a look in before the Euros. Walters does much the same job, has done it in front of Trapattoni and is scoring in the EPL. Still, you never know.
Maybe John Dor(lane)y could pull a few fins and hook him into the squad.
If only he was 20 years older I think he would have linked up very well with Tommie Koi-ne, had he gone to USA 94.
Conor Sammon, aka the slickhead with sole.
84 minutes this weekend; subbed off for the lad who scored the winner. Rodallega left on the bench. Four points and five goals in the two games with Sammo in the starting line-up!
Sammo was taken off after 60 minutes or thereabouts and i have to say both myself and the match commentator felt sorry for the lad. He was asked to play in the lone striker role with no, and i mean, NO support. He won countless flick ons and worked hard but there was no team mate even close to him. He was chasing his own flick ons. The commentator was still lamenting Sammo's substitution after the final whistle.
Shocking from Wigan. Shocking from Martinez. McCarthy was anonymous except for one burst from midfield which came to nothing when they were 4-0 down.
Sent off after catching Carrick in the face with a flailing arm. Very harsh.
Didn't see the sending off unfortunately, but there should be a replay coming up in a minute.
Seems a real pity because it has ruined the match as a contest.
It was clumsy and blatantly obvious and that's what probably got him busted. He seemed to catch Carrick's nose with his palm. Carrick got up on the count of 8 after much exaggerated concern over the state of his nose. The ref was a good distance away and probably assumed it was done by an elbow.
How fast does an ref have to be in order to pass his EPL physical? I can't imagine Dowd being capable of doing the 1500m inside 10 minutes.
Well I could not see much on the replay as the stream kept freezing.
Anyway I have switch to the West Brom Man City match hoping Long might grab a late winner
I figure he has more chance then Best at Newcastle.
I see Man U now have 5!!
Are you sure you make the sensible choices, TC?
The sopcast stream from ESPN Canada has been clear and stable for me.
A sensible enough choice, no point watching McCarthy in a non-contest with Man U, I think
the 5-0 result confirms that!
I can't get sopcast to work anymore, it has been that way for a number of years now, not
sure why but I have given up on it as a dead loss. I think maybe my ISP is blocking it
or maybe it is being blocked in the UK. I have not put too much effort into finding the truth of the
matter as it is easier to uses one of those embedded streams once you get past the adverts.
Anyway on the West Brom highlights Long had a fair chance of a goal with a header but he put it wide.
I see Best was subbed on 61 mins anyway.
Mind you some good goals from Bervatov, he's a great player to watch.
Even Ferguson called it harsh.
Apparently Sammo missed a great headed chance earlier in the game; seems his heading still has a long way to go yet.
Well let's hope Fergie has no plans on poaching salmon.
Fergie is generous in spirit - after he wins.
Sammon did miss a sitter with a badly mistimed leap.
This is true.
Was never, ever, ever in a million years a red card. Shocking decision. Wasn't even an elbow; just a leading hand in Carrick's face by accident.
MotD commenting on how it was all upstream for Wigan after that. Reckon he should change his name by deed poll or something!
Carrick went down like Elias in that scene in Platoon, not even a free kick in my opinion.
I think there is no question that it was a foul.
You see Sammon clearly enough, committing the foul in the video replays.
Sammon red card
A red card was a preposterous decision. The appeal will be interesting as would Dowd's opinion after he viewed a replay.
