pike 2 bruff 0 good win for pike 2 up at half time and a man sent off early in the second half, pike were missing 0ne or two today incuding their keeper but th lad in goals done very well
colum pearce
The referee yesterday was absolute disgrace yesterday left alot of things go in this match. And blew the whistle for nothing challenges then. Geary got sent off which was hard to disagree with it was his 2nd yellow he should known better with in the first place for kicking the ball away but some decsions by the ref were crazy like the a corner he gave which was two yards in play. And he then telling the players for them to open there eyes. Specsavers job for this REF.........
must agree ref was terrible for both sides booking players just for the sake of it then letting bad tackles go and doing nothing about it. pike went 2-0 up early on and even with the man extra bruff just couldnt get things to go their way bad performance by bruff taking nothing away from pike they took their chances well and controlled the 1st half.the sending off affected them in the 2nd half but they defended well.
Fixture's for the weekend anybody?

anybody looking for a challenge match this weekend pm me.willing to travel. Preferably Sun 2o clock
You should change your name to the foot police.lol. Do u be hawking every thread or what?
Anyway with a squad of over 20 players it would be nice to give fringe players a chance to show the manager he is getting it wrong!.Plus, as you are well aware, we were entered into the min. amount of competitions again this year and these weeks off prove to be disruptive and break up whatever momentum we have. Not to mention the 5er a week and getting some kind of value from it!!
Dont worry I sure the manager isn't planning on playing a full strength team!, quite the contrary !
Do we have your almighty blessing?
bruff knockainey 1-1 called off after 30 mins due to fog..ref should never of started this game fog was just as bad at the start of the game as it was when he called it up bruff went 1 nil up after 10 mins and were well on top then had a free kick on the edge of the box great free kick into the bottom corner keeper got a touch but couldnt keep it out the ref blew it up saying it was a indirect free kick so we were not allowed shoot goal disallowed this is a joke it was easy to see the keeper got a good hand to it but the free was hit strong so the 1 hand wasnt enough it was easy to see goal should of stood the ref was asked knockainey scored 5 mins later soon as they scored ref blew it up in my opinion ref wanting things all square so he could blow it up!!

Before the match, did you express your concerns to the referee about the fog?
Did any of your team-mates manager say aything to the ref about the safety of the players?
The reason I ask, like many around here, all you do is moan about referees. If the referee hadn't started the match this morning, I'm sure you would have been on here moaning that he didn't start the match and it was only a light fog!
well actually yes the manager said it to the ref that he taught the fog was a concern the ref said it was fine that he could see the whole field fine..our manager told the ref that it had got worse in the half hr leading upto the match and the ref said its fine..
and yes when the ref was checking the boots a few players said it to the ref that the fog was very bad and he told them its upto him not them so ofcourse ill come on here givin out because he calls it off after a half a hr then pointless!!!
with atitude like that it must have been andrew keogh
are you so sure you forget knockainey and bruff are neighbours and people talk about matches afterwards and the keeper himself said to us he got a hand to it!!! liable for the ref for what? giving my opinion you might aswell shut down this site if your going to gag people and send them private messages telling them to take down posts.your getting very upset by it by the looks of it you are the ref??

LEAGUE
PIKE B v HERBERTSTOWN 2:00
FAI RND 3
SHELBOURNE v KNOCKAINEY
BRUFF v KILMALLOCK
CAPPAMORE v GERALDINES
HOSPITAL v SHANNON HIBS (PARK)
this league seems to be being forgotten about, and with a bad winter potentially ahead of us i think we can all get ready for lots of matches being crammed into a week sometime in april or may
Well for the likes of bruff and knock they will have to play catch up. I think 3 out of the 4 matches in the faI r 3 will go through. best of luck.
You have atribituted comments that were said to and from the referee, I spoke to him yesterday and again today and he said that no one from Bruff or Knockainey expressed concerns either prior or during the game.
Also some Bruff players asked him after he waited 15mins for the fog to clear to restart the match and he also said, in disagreement ot your point, that the fog when he abandoned the match was substantally heavier than at the start of the game.
He also told me the score of the game at the time was immeterial to his decision to abandon the game.
ya SOME players asked for it to be played just like SOME players said it before the match for it not to be played i didnt say every bruff player talked to the ref when he was checking the boots i said a few. if the score had nothing to do with it its just a funny coincedence as soon as they score he called it off straight away after the kick off and wrongly disallowed a bruff goal stopping the game going to 2-0 jst a few mins before.seems you know the name of the player who took the free you must of been at the match were you??
I read your first comment and spoke to the referee, he said who you were as soon as I read the comment to him. I met him today and he said NO ONE from either side expressed concerns prior or during the match. As for the score being 1:1, that never crossed his mind when he made his decision (I asked him out straight and he said honestly it never crossed his mind).
I was not at the match but I can tell you he is livid about some of your comments.
The name The Dark Knight sounds like a good Referee username imo
haha your getting awful worked up about it for a fella that wasnt there and if you say your not the ref then to be honest a fella that it realy doesnt concern and your running back and forth writing up here what your hearing.when i was there so im writing up what i seen..everyone has there right to voice their opinions and thats all i was doing if he's livid about that thats his own business hes old enough to talk for himself and im sure he's had worse things said about him then that..
from comments above, the ref seemed to do his best to allow the game to go ahead. i gather that inthe situation, like any sunday morning, everyone wanted to play the game. a few may have said it shouldnt but everyone does just wanna play... esp after gettin outta bed so early. if there were genuine concerns (not a few jokey comments as the ref checks boots), then the captain of either team should ask him (on behalf of the team) to rethink his decision.
sayin that, he could have just wnted the game to go ahead, then abandon it so he could get his full fee :P ha

athlunkard 1-3 knockainey,
well done to knockainey today against us, well deserved, we were not at the races, in what might have been a run of 20 league games undefeted going back to 2A last year, it was not to be, we were not at the races and Knockainey took full advantage. and with the cappa v conlish drawing a great weekend for K'ainey. it makes for a very exiting 2nd half of the season.
Anyone know how the other 2 matchs went?
