Of slight added interest to Pat's tie is the fact that Pete Mahon used to manage Belgrove before he took up managing UCD. He won the 2003 FAI Intermediate cup with them I think and also managed them against UCD in the FAI Cup.
Only one possible all-premier division tie is a bit disappointing, Derry will probably be favorites to scupper that one too. The quarters could be tasty if everything goes according to plan though.
Thought the segment on MNS about the 2004 Final was very well done, enjoyed it.
Check the highlights, that goal was disallowed on the advice of the assistant and the player received a yellow card. Belgroves 2nd goal was a volley from a free kick floated into the area. If you are going to slag off the officials get your facts right. I assume you will be posting an apology????
Happy enough with that draw, should see us through to the q-finals. now the eleven week wait or so for the games to be played !!!
Have to be happy with that draw, as Schumi said, the quarter final draw should throw up some humdingers IF everything goes to plan. Also like the Longford-Waterford final look back, more of that please MNS
Delighted with that draw.
Cant wait for Balleybofey away now.
Should be a big travelling crowd for it.
Its good for the league that the big teams are avoiding each other in the early rounds, we need two big teams in the final this year, Its a shame dundalk are out so early they always have good crowds.

Belgrove v Avondale
Jeez that guy sent off needs a good kick up the ass
Did anyone else think the draw was strange on MNS last night that Fabio O'brien standing on the left as we look at the tv
picking out the away teams and Fran Gavin on the right picking the home teams. Surely it should have been the other way round. Any draw I have seen before has the person on the left doing home and the right doing away?
Cuyahoga, i noticed that meself. . It was a bit strange alright Haha
It dosent matter what teams are in the final Ciaran - the Aviva will feel like a ghost town either way (unfortunately).
And Fran Gavin on local radio in Sligo before the Cup Final last year talking about how they didnt want to put in extra seats in tallaght cause they wanted to create an atmosphere - and they didnt want to see areas of empty seats in the ground !
As much as I dont like the place (cause of results that is) keep it in tallaght. (Unless Shams get to the final - obviously :)
