Pathetic. Anyway, I obviously voted for United, but (and I am in danger of being lynched for saying this) in some ways I want us to go down and come back up by winning the First or a playoff just to shut up, for once and for all, certain elements on this site.Quote:

Its a pity that clubs voted for playoffs that year because they were never going to have any bearing on who went up/down ..... It didn't matter who won them, it was not going to decide who was going up.
They had a tiny effect on the football performance side of the assessment. I'd say clubs voted for it for the combined reasons of having something to aim for and adding any tiny bit of weight to the football side they could. Unfortunately for Dundalk, it wasn't enough in those circumstances.Quote:
